I got the Supple Leopard book Kelly had written because I want to improve my mobility significantly as well as injury-prevention.
On his website he says you need the following:
At a minimum, you will need: (1) 3 lacrosse balls (2 of which will be taped together) and (2) a jump stretch band (which is like a gigantic rubber band – preferably in blue or green). Any brand of jump stretch band will do but we get ours from Rogue Fitness. Rogue has created a handy Mobility Package that includes lacrosse balls and jump stretch band. In addition, we recommend investing in a Voodoo Floss Band.
Lacrosse balls I will get from walmart.
Now the jump stretch band from Rouge, (or whichever company), which one am I suppose to get? Blue or green and the iron woody bands are way tooooo expensive. So would the Shorty monster bands work? And green and blue off that?
And last thing is the Voodoo wrap. Should I get the 7inch one or the 28. I wanna gets watch's cheapest obviously. So if there is another website available with lower prices but similar or better quality, i'm very interested.
Thanksss

NO!!! on the shorty bands. Since it's Mobility WOD stuff, you are using it for stretching...you want length. I've seen stretches where you wrap the band around your foot, around your leg, etc. and do mobility work. The shorty bands are just way too short.
You might want to get more opinions, but I think the green full-size band (#3 Light) from Rogue is probably your best bet...the black band (#4 Average) or Blue (#2) would be next up. Basically, all these bands from different manufacturers are pretty close to the same...EliteFTS can have 30-40% off bands sometimes. I have Rogue and EFS bands and I think they are identical except for the logos.Garage Gym Owner

If you buy anything from Rogue you have to get 3 little things or more to get free shipping, otherwise you'll pay $10 for shipping.
So whatever bands are in their mobility package, 3 lacrosse balls, voodoo wrap, dimple balls, whatever. These are the bands http://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-monster-bands
http://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-mobility-packs and they recommend #3, #4
These bands used to be cheaper but Crossfitters are too rich. You might find similar bands cheaper, maybe EliteFTS, not looking it up. Good luck.-!!!---!!!- No Excuses Homemade Equipment Crew #24 -!!!---!!!-

A few people on here have given the Iron Woody bands very positive reviews. Start simple and get yourself a pair of 1/2" and 1" bands. I've found I don't use the larger bands often. It'll depend on your training style and your goals. I know some people who have bought all of them, only to have the larger ones collect dust because they weren't strong enough to use them or just didn't care for that kind of accommodated resistance. Personal preference mostly. Rogue, Westside, Elite FTS... these are all the same caliber.
I've purchased 1/4" stretching bands from rubberbanditz.com. Their bands are much less expensive than the Rogue and iron Woody bands.
I only use the shorty bands for deadlifts. Other than that, they don't get much use from me.
Start with the 7 foot sections of the voodoo wraps. The 28 foot lengths are designed for you to cut your own lengths. A cut up bicycle inner tube will have the same effect. The concept is a remarkably simple, yet brilliant one.

I have both 1.13" bands and 1.75" bands that I use for stretching. The smaller bands will really cut into your neck/shoulder if you use it like that for leg stretches. The 1.75" band doesn't seem to cut in at all. It's like night and day between the two sizes. Of course the bigger band has more resistance, so you have to work your legs harder, but it doesn't require a lot of strength or anything like that.
