    Am I Starting Prep Too Early?

    Hey guys, I'm competing in the OCB Big East Natural in May. It'll be my first competition, so I'm doing the physique category to sort of ease into it.

    I'm going to be starting 16 weeks of macro and cardio coaching with Christian Guzman in January. However, today I decided today to bring my macros down to around 250-275 carb, 60 fat, 225 protein, to lose some water and a bit of fat for the next 8 weeks before beginning with Christian. I weighed in this morning at 173.6, but I know my body and I'll probably be in the 166-169 range in a week or less just from glycogen and water.

    My question is, is 24 weeks too long to prep for a physique competition given my current state? I've attached a photo, not the best, but serves its purpose. thanks !
