Some trainers at my gym say they aren't worth doing cause of the high chances of injury.

Learn good technique and don't pull heavy (over 85% of 1rm) too often and should he fine
Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Used to do them regularly and really enjoyed doing them. Got up to pulling 5 plates. Now my elbow is screwed up and heavy deadlifts really irritate it. Haven't done them in almost a year, but still making good gains. Hope I can get back to doing them one day when I get my elbow straightened out.
Edit: My elbow issue was not caused by deadlifts. Never had any injuries from deads.Last edited by coctopus; 08-21-2014 at 11:23 AM.

Yes, but long femurs so that there sumo style pulling and supplement with SL kettlebell DLs and cable pullthroughs and such. I NEVER max out b/c... well, I'm not a powerlifter so who cares? Agree with the above advice not to go above 85%.

Just hit my first deadlift day in 6 months and pulled a chit ton of weight. Form was good but god damn i'm sore. I think I will go back to pulling once every two weeks or so. There's just no matching how sore I am today compared to other back days.
I used to dead 2x a week and couldn't bend down to tie my shoes.
