Nah bro. Been to LA many times. It's alright but there's lots of it I don't like. Would rather live in many other places and I haven't even been to many places.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

San Diego is great, but the fact that LA has many bad pockets isn't a big deal, they are easy to avoid. There are a lot of fantastic neighborhoods that are completely different from each other.
In Alhambra, you feel like you are in Hong Kong, in Pasadena you can chill with scientists and blue bloods, mid-Wilshire has a very international flavor, in Westminister you can get the best Viet food outside Vietnam, Venice Beach is the beach for hippies, Santa Monica for the glamor girls, each neighborhood is like a totally different city. After a while of living here, you really enjoy it.When all that says 'it is good' has been debunked, what says 'I want' remains.

You went on a small vacation to LA and decided it's the GOAT place to live in? lol...
I love LA and go there often, but let's be real, it's expensive, jobs are very hard to find, the crime rate is high, and people tend to be very vain and mildly retarded.
Weather, food, shopping, entertainment, history, are all top notch though.
