Records for JR 220 were pretty weak in this class. These prob won't stand for long, but as you saw I took advantage of having 4th attempts. Outside of not being able to thoroughly warm up for bench, I feel like this was a solid first meet (lifting wise, not strength wise). Joining a team and getting a coach in July. I'm hooked!

Get a ton out of wraps man. About 450 squat true raw. And my dead I feel like I had another 15 or so. Just hadn't trained it in a few months so I didn't know where I was at.
How'd you do? I think my focus is always going to be 9/9. I'm glad I started light. Confidence under the bar was tremendous with each successful lift.*OKC THUNDER*

My meet went well too. (Im 34).
Got 240kg (528lbs) DL, 175kg squat (390lbs) and 110kg bench (240lbs).
This was at a bodyweight of 79kg (174lbs).
Bench is really weak as i only started flat bench recently (after years of shoulder oain and rotator cuff op).
Didnt realise knee wraps made such a difference but still great effort OP.

Just saw the video above as I had to switch over from mobile to pc. There's a problem here. You squat more than you deadlift or the same. I mean if you did 430lbs x 4 raw that puts your max at 490lbs so the knee wraps didn't add anything to your 1 rep max. You could've took them off and did the same weight since you already hit 490lbs raw. Yes you have good form on the lifts but I don't know if you started squatting for a long period of time before doing any deadlifts or if you can get way more lbs on the deadlift by switching to sumo. When someone tells me there max squat I assume there deadlift is 100lbs(+-) more than they squat otherwise I would assume there is a form issue but here I don't know what the problem is. Think of it this way. Someone military press 225lbsx8 but there bench press is 185lbs x1?? It wouldn't make any sense as whatever you can military press you can bench press for reps. Have you tried sumo before?
Where did I get 490lbs from? 430*4*.0333+430=Your 1 rep max (487lbs) (Yes I rounded)http://www.youtube.com/user/JackCannonTBE Subscribe!!

Intredasting.
Form on DL is terrible, and didn't train it since march. Had prob 15 or so more in me. So 525 roughly. Fix form and perhaps 550+. Assume all you like that someone can deadlift 100+ more pounds than they squat. You're doing just that. Assuming. It's not always how it works. They same goes for max rep calculators. They aren't always accurate. I have successfully raw squatted 430x4, and 450x1. Haven't went higher than that because I didn't need to.
I have training footage on the same channel as the meet footage. You can see my raw squats. Now if my handler really cranked my wraps the way I wanted I could have gotten more lbs out of them. But this was a conservative meet.

And nice exaggeration lol. 225x8 compared to 185x1. It's not like I squat 650 and pull 5. That would be a problem.*OKC THUNDER*

not everyone can dead 100 more than they squat. My dead has always been like only 20lbs above my squat
When I see someone dead 100lbs over their squat I assume they have long arms or bad squat form
world record raw squat and world record raw dead are probably pretty close to each other"Humility comes before honor"

Strong showing man. It looked as if you still had more in you for your squat also. I am actually doing my first meet next Sunday, I'm hoping for a 1175 total (1200 would be awesome). Nonetheless, repped for competing in your first meet!
Gym PR's: 445 (480 w/wraps)/275/540 (1295) @186 lbs.
Goals: 455 (500 w/wraps)/315/585 (1315 Raw) @180 lbs.
Meet PR's: 440/249/529 (1218) Raw @176 -- 11/9/14

I see where he's coming from. But assuming 100+ more on a dead out of principle alone, idk what that's about.
Thanks man. Yeah if you watch my 3rd, I got a little too deep and misgrooved. So I conservatively went up 2.5kilos. After I got 501 you can see the confusion on my face lol. Good luck man! 1200 at 181 is a solid 1st meet! Open up light, build that confidence and smash some PRs!*OKC THUNDER*
