ive played for a while as rogue but i kinda hate the combat. u have to at keep pressing the attack buttons to build up combos or else it takes forever to kill something.

it requires too much involvement and makes me miss the when mmos just had u click something and wait for it to die

You mean appearances? Because ability customization is one of the best things about this game.

OP: I concur that Rift is the best F2P out there. I was playing before F2P and I have played after and honestly I couldn't tell a difference at all in what was offered to me.

Trion cancelled development on another failure game they had called 'End of Nations', I think Rift is their only pseudo-'successful' game.

Haha I'm liking this game a lot. I think people need to get past the beginning levels and then it starts opening up.

i got that feeling as well when i played it, fun game but it just didnt seem extremely populated compared to RPGs i played in the past (Runescape, Guild Wars)

i tried EVE Online recently.... that was really weird though didnt enjoy it, might try Rift again some time

Been playing RIFT since closed beta (back in 2010). First year was so good. Lots of people everywhere, zone events felt epic, raids and dungeons were much better (Hammerknell GOAT instance), monthly updates with new content.

RIFT went downhill since Storm Legion, even before conversion. Doesn't feel like many devs are working on the game anymore and updates are always cash shop related in some way.

Though for F2P standards I'd say it's one for the best on the market. You don't have to pay single dollar to experience any content.

yeah i did one raid in the first game and it waas good. ive raided in SL for totdq and i thought it was hard.but i think the yjust made HK into a chronicle

I liked it a ton, love how F2p'ers dont feel restricted in that game at all, but im an EQ1 fan for the last 15 YEARS and my loyalty lies there. Boxing my own group right now as I type this. Ill probably go back to Rift one day when I get bored, think I have a level 40.

Landmark/EQ Next are the next big F2P games, lookin forward to them. Not sure on Wildstar I assume thats f2p.
