Everybody on misc seems to believe that a woman who sleeps with many men is a sloot.

A women who sleeps around isn't any more likely to carry STDs than is a man who sleeps around. It's this, women act as the locks, our society has gone with the idea that men pursue women, men pay for women, men have to achieve higher status amongst other men to stand out and win the best woman. If we are the competitors, and women are the prize, then if this was the olympics, what would happen if everyone got a gold medal? The value of that medal devalues. Not necessarily true. Anyone can get some poon pretty easy if they understand how easy it is. I for one find great offense in how easy it is and makes me lose faith in a lot of humanity.
