Does anyone have an addiction to upgrading (or adding) equipment to their home gym?
I've only been putting the gym together in my basement for about a month and I'm still combing craigslist and other sites for deals on equipment! I probably have more than enough, but now i'm looking at cable crossover machine!

I possibly qualify for 'addiction'. I'm at the point where I'm looking for very exercise specific pieces now. Can I make do with out the stuff? Sort of. Will the exercises benefit enough to warrant the space? Yes.
Now I just have to convince the wife to give up a bit more of the basement for the 'next' purchases.

I have my weights in my spare room...I have an addiction to beating myself up about clearing all the boxes and ****e from the rest of the room...
I don't feel (am I stupid?) I need a squat rack right now...but I am guessing that the room will be cleared at roughly the same time as I order a rack...
...when I say "cleared" - I mean, as much as needed to fit the rack...I *am* a lazy bastard when it comes to house work etc...but, on topic, I'm addicted to constantly feeling bad about that...

I go to pick up the cage Olympic bench tomorrow.. Also found a parabody adjustable bench, Yukon angle back machine, and body solid leg station(for free weights - for the wife LOL) - $300 for all 5 pcs.
I have about 500 lbs Olympic and 500+ standard, and for some reason I want more LOL
now I gotta get rid of my current Olympic bench and fly machine to make room.
the lady I'm getting the three benches/machines from had a 3 tier rack with hex dumbbells from 5-60lb for $120!!!! told her I wanted that too but before she got back to me someone else called and said they would take it ....grrrr
I've decided against the cable cross over for now - unless I find a screaming deal on one. one that was local a guy wanted $250 but it was almost 20 yrs old

I picked up the benches and cage tonight. ... the guy didn't pick up the hex dumbbells yet (and 300lb olympic set) ....he said he had to wait til sunday cuz he threw out his back. I said "if he threw out his back, he prob wont be needing the weights" lol the wanted to let me buy them but They said if he don't come sunday they are mine. I guess he is buying them to donate to a teen hockey team.
Part of me hopes he doesnt show lol
started in November saying "I only need to spend a couple hundred" ha!

I come and go, but once I got to where I had enough to really get it on I toned it down.
I was obsessed with 130# powerblocks until I found some. I went through 2 oly sets and a plate purchase to get enough weights, lucked out with a decent bar along with my second power rack. 2 power racks, the first one sucked and was a get me by. But lately I seem to be just lifting. I do still get itchy for a few items here and there. I'm full potato to buy 2 kettlebells right now. A few months ago it was a couple of bands. I try to think it through and not just turn it into a collection, but buy stuff that I will get lots of use.
I did a lot of selling of extras after bulk buys. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl
