When I had mono I was pretty lucky in that I didn't have nearly the fatigue that most get. I didn't really get to lift and I don't know what kind of strength or stamina I would have had. I got the the second day into a vacation. But ya I know EXACTLY what you mean about the sore throat couldn't swallow anything it was a big disappointment to my uncle.....

Failed on a 415 deadlift attempt, 10lbs shy of my PR.
Failing wasn't necessarily surprising given I've been doing mostly hypertrophy training, but it was the lockout I failed on - figured it would be the initial drive.
What other than rack pulls can help alleviate the lockout issue?

Lockouts are much tougher to improve IMO than moving weight off the floor.
Basically comes down to form, activating your glutes, or upper back strength. If your upper back is weak you have less leverage when you try to move your hips through since the bar is basically dragging your body down.VELOCITY NUTRITION
