Despite the fact that I liv a healthy lifestyle, and eat like a pro (I am a chef), I have strugeled with doms and poor recovery, so these last couple of years, I have tried just about anything postworkout, from eating nothing, to eating big steaks and weggies.
What I have found is that fast proteins like whey isolate really dos make you recover faster, Dymatize ISO-100 is the best I have found.
What I have also found is that after really intense workouts Vitargo carbs is higly effectiv, I litterally recover before the day is over.
Bcaa`s intra is the icing on the cake
My currenty post workout shake is
2 scoops Dymatixe Iso-100
75 grams of Vitargo unflavored
5 Grams bcaa (Modern bcaa one scoop)
5 g creatine.
This plain works and I recover faster and better making room for more intense workouts more times a week = faster strength and size
I dont like stimm preworkouts, so I just like to have a banna and green tea 30-45 minuts preworkout, and sometimes I take dymatize expand 2X caffine free

I personally always have a protein shake of Big Blend and then try to eat a good meal afterwards (also do my best to eat good meals throughout the day, as nutrient timing is irrelevant).

Regular food is always best. If you can't get to a meal, Anabolic Halo is a great option.

I got to say as a post workout protocol that tastes delicious this is a very solid post workout supplement. It's an all-in-one and doesn't lack. A bit pricey and it's like eating a small meal when it comes to TRUE calorie count and that TRUE count goes for all supplements that have free form amino acids. Just count them as 4 calories per gram even though they can be a little higher or lower depending upon the amino acid.

Just feeding yourself is likely the most important thing.

although I responded by another posters comments in this section I didn't really give any proper feedback or direction - The best post workout depends on the individual and his/her diet and supplement regiment. I said Torrent was a great all-in-one and I meant it. However, not everyone wants a small meal i.e. all those calories. Yes they have Torrent Zero which is pretty unpopular prob because of taste etc. Regular Torrent has 50 grams of carbs - personally I like to eat my carbs. Not everyone wants a post workout supplement period or one that contains creatine - especially if they take time off from it.
I like Controlled Labs products becuase they are versatile. You want a highly nutritous shake with carbs and protein etc - Golden Feast. You want to low carb it with the most effective aminos - Wratth or Psycho intra workout. If you want creatine - Green Mag. All high quality and affordable. They have a complete list of products with great amounts in tub sizes. They all taste excellent. Their pre workout is my staple. I can't talk enough about it. 1 scoop is all you need. Energy blend is perfect. Killer profile - not overwhelming like some other products that throw in names w/only spritzers or that use trademarks yet don't dose it correctly - marketing.
So it depends on what you want - if you want 1 shake and your done and only to be used on lifting days - go with Torrent. For that amount of money you can get a killer stack at CL. Do a cost analysis and in the meantime get some free samples under Controlled Labs sig. Sent free to - not like some others do it. You don't have to buy anything which is nice.
