    Grip in RDL

When doing romanian deadlift i have really hard time keeping my grip firm, it tends to slide. Got a pair of lifting straps, but they feel awkward and the bar slips anyway. Any advice?

    Thanks.

The bar shouldnt slip at all with straps. You might not be using them right. If you do it right the bar will roll into the straps and tighten if you do it wrong it can roll right out of youre hands. Also use reverse grip if youre having that much of a problem. One hand forward, one back, generally its your strong hand that faces palms away from you.

I use chalk to deadlift 99% of the time. If I use straps I can hold on to way more than I can lift to the point that I need someone to help me peels the straps off the bar. Someone here may be able to explain how to properly use the straps but honestly it would be best to have someone personally show you while youre working out if possible.

If the bar is slipping while using straps then you are not using them properly.

    1) USe straps correctly.
    2) Use chalk instead (powder or liquid)
    3) Hook grip
