Ok, to lay it out, I'm roughly 5 foot 10 inches tall, 140 pounds. I'm twenty one years old and have a very physical job as a farmer and a sawmill mechanic. Because of this I get more exercise and weight lifting than most small scale body builders. I eat mainly what I grow, allot of vegetables and mostly wild meat like deer, rabbit, hogs, fish(ALLOT of fish) ect.
But it seems like I can eat twice as much as most people and never gain a pound. I eat very healthy and have tried several supplements. I may gain a pound but then i'll burp and lose two. I'm pretty skinny but because of my jobs very muscular. I can build muscle no problem. But I can't gain a bit of weight to turn into more muscle.
I want something that will make me gain weight. I think it's genetics, most of my family are either skinny of burly farm folks. I just caught the wrong side.

Believe it or not, you're still not eating enough to gain weight. Your job requires a lot of calorie-burning physical activity which means that while you're eating a bunch, you still need to eat more. The old rule, calories in>calories out always results in weight gain, it's simple math. It's higher for us high-metabolism, highly-active lifestyle people but there's still a point where you will gain weight and you need to find that with a BMR calculation (google it, it's a way to find out how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight) and add several hundred calories on top of that. Finally, make sure that when you're working out, to be doing heavy compound lifts like bench press/deadlift/squats.

Hey man,
I was in the same boat for a while. 6 feet tall and always 150!
I finally got serious about eating some calorie dense foods. (I still eat the right stuff, just a lot of it). My biggest has been 177 so far and that was 9,000 calories a day. (which also equals about 4 massive dumps)**Thinks he is huge but is not huge crew**

Ultimately, it boils down to cals in> cals out. Yes, there are multiple factors than can work against you or work for you, like how fast your metabolic rate is or what genetics were handed to you, but that's just a bump in the road. If you don't gain weight, eat more. If you still don't gain weight, eat even more. You're not a marvel, you WILL gain weight at a certain caloric surplus.
For me, I can't think of a single overweight male in my family. All the males are about 6' and average build. That's pretty beneficial for me..."Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right." -Henry Ford
