LOL
No money to be made in this state
And Rick Scott is legitimately a fukkin idiot
Oilfield and rigs, on and offshore, mainly roustabout positions, most wireline and coil tubing positions i've seen require experience. 80% of the ads I applied to were for 0 experience, and I sent a few to ads that required experience anyway. Applied all over, texas, louisiana, ND, alberta, everywhere

my buddy does this offshore. mid 20's, making 100k+ easy, been doing it 7 years or so. he is always talking about how he wants a normal 9-5 job, making a decent salary. yeah, it's good money, but is it really something you want to do in your late 30's or 40's. cant hold a steady relationship, on the ocean for half a year, etc...

They would probably take you more seriously if you have some licenses/certs, like First-Aid, HAZOWPER, Confined Space, etc. Also, where are you applying? North Dakota?

For example I was a painter doing shop maint. one year and was making 34.40 regular time 12 hour shifts 6 on 6 off... During my 6 off if I chose to work I would make double time 68.80 plus 10% vacation and a 3 dollar night premium if I chose to do night shifts.... Do the math. Easy work too.
Canadian Eh?

This. Idk why you're not getting hired op were hiring nerds who worked at the movie theater at the age of 35 and now making 18-19 bucks no experience whatsoever..literally don't know what a chic or a pipeWrench looks like.
Maybe they think your too soft? Slick line doesn't need experience..did it for 5 years..they hire 80 year olds to rig up lubricators..
Maybe you should atleast get a class b or class first for coil, frac, wirelineLeukemia is a poverty cancer.

I have almost a year of manual labor experience in the A/C field in Florida which is pretty physically demanding yet I dont understand how I know this local kid fresh out of high school got hired to work for Titan in Williston ND. No criminal record or anything to tarnish an application and although I don't have any rig or field experience I have manual labor experience. In my eyes should be priority over an 18 y/o coming out of high school.
