Yeah I typed that right, 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Before you tell me it's overtraining, I know. Unfortunately this workout isn't a choice for the position I'm pursuing. I'm planning on going into the Special Forces of the Air Force as a Pararescue Jumper. As one of the most elite groups in the military, only 350 active duty, they're training is brutal. The physical requirements are the same as the Seals. In order to have a chance I'm told to start training with a group that works to get as many recruits as possible eligible. At 6:30am they start with 2 hours of swimming, then move onto running, and finish with weight training, which let's out between 11-12 depending on the day. I rarely supplement with more than protein powder and occasionally a preworkout or creatine monohydrate supplement, but for this I know I'll need every advantage that I can get. I'm prepared to spend a decent amount of money but I'd still prefer the best bang for my buck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Preworkouts will dehydrate the hell put of you during that.
Just keep working on your endurance. In the military endurance>muscle.
Swim 4 days a week and do pull and pushups every other day.don't worry about being muscular
I wanted to do marine recon and was ready to sign but decided to go to college instead that's how I knoww

I doubt they test for performance enhancing drugs because my buddy in the Guard said steroids run pretty rampant there. Even so, I'd rather stay away from the illegal stuff, even ephedra.
I think a preworkout will be almost necessary. To make this harder, I'll never be able to workout on 8 hours of sleep. The place they train is an hour away from me and starts at 630. I won't get off work the night before until 930 and I gotta shower and eat before bed still. That being said I think my ass will be dragging pretty bad by the time I get there without some caffiene to bump start me.
I think I swallowed enought water today on the practice PAST test to hydrate me for a year.

And I definitely understand the advantage of endurance over muscle. Right now I've got an athletic build with some decent muscle. Even though I know endurance is #1 I've still got a little vanity in me and would rather not burn off any more muscle than what's necessary. I figured protein with plenty of BCAA's was a strong start.

ginosko-I get what you're saying but I joined up a little late in the game. I'm told there is a strong chance a position will be open for me by October 1st. I'd like to get as good as I can by then. Even if I drop a little w/o being able to supplement during training later on, I think the boost I get now may help overall.
