    Noob question about chest exercises...

I was just wondering if you're supposed to feel a burn in your chest (pecs) when you are doing exercises for them. I was doing Pushups, Alternating Pushups, and Floor Presses, and I couldn't really feel it in my pecs. Am I doing it wrong?

    Hi,

When I started workout out I just did Pushup's for my chest, and I always felt a burn in my shoulders more than my Chest,
If your not feeling any burn don't worry about it, along with the morning after sorness, as long as your making gains that's all that matters!

Your probably doing it right but pushups are too easy for you. you need to do weight training to actually feel a chest burn e.g. Dumbell press, incline bench press etc

As long as you feel chest pain the next morning it's all good and your making gains !

only thing i can say is cause your supporting muscles suck so much more then your chest, they still need to catch up. further more, one might delve deeper into the issue of mind-muscle connection. when i work my chest i feel the blood and the pump, and the next day i feel it like mad.
