    When does noob gains.....?

When does noob gains and muscle memory stop being a factor of gains. I did 2 or 3 weeks of dumbell workouts at home. chest, arms and shoulders. I joined a gym 4 weeks ago. I work out 5 days a week one group a day.
    ....

You will know when you are there. You have a long way to go, good job.

I started lifting Sept last year...my bench went from 250ish to 340 in 4 months...they said it was "noob gains"...I took off 4 months...and started in April this year again...my squat is now up to where I was in the 400lbs to me attemping 600lb raw this coming week...not sure about my bench because I havent maxed this time...but I just bought 140lb dumbbells and repped them 6 times my first set...most likely "noob gains"..lol I think you stop getting "noob gains" when you stop trying to add weight or reps to your workout EVERY WEEK....or maybe my body is just different. My arms started at a hair over 17 flexed and pumped...to 19-3/4 on last friday......Keep in mind Im 38 years old and never lifted weights in my life before then

No I dont think you are different.....Do you really think you can continue this progress indefinitely? You started out obviously in a very untrained state. The numbers that you are throwing around are not all that miraculous considering your size.

Now if at the end of next year you are squatting 780 (3x bw) and benching 520 (2x bw) you will have proven us all wrong and you sir truly are different.

You are proof of what crupiea said. If you start from a completely untrained state, the noob gains can last quite a while. Much of the early strength gains can be attributed to CNS adaptation. Your body is literally learning how to lift.
