Calf response is more genetic than a lot of muscle groups.

Ever seen a fat guy with hyooge calves just from walking around carrying all that weight?

or some high mileage bike riders. That's the epitome of high reps.

So rear delt isolation is that important? I only recently dropped rear delt isolation as I pretty much dropped most isolation out of my routine. Barbell rows always hit them so hard I thought that was enough?

    Thumbs up

    For big calves:
    1. Do starting strength
    2. Replace squats with calf raises
    3. Progressively Load
    4. ???
    5. Great excuse to drink gallons upon gallons of milk.

    At the gym:

    Overrated: bench press

Every single male there, if not at least 90% of them hop on the bench when they go in.

Underrated: any leg exercise also deadlifts

There's probably only 2-3 other guys I see regularly do deadlifts, no one else does it and most don't even do any leg exercises except for squats...using the smith machine.
