Watch & be prepared to say "OUCH! That hurt!" out loud a few times.
I think the drop @ 1:40 looks rough!

I think I said, "Oh God!" about a million times while watching that. My 7 year old laughed repeatedly, though, and kept saying, "these people are stupid."

There is a reason why they call them a suicide bench press grip... Spotters failed several times.

Yeah, the suicide grip is not wrapping your thumb around the bar.
Odd thing is, on this video and others I've seen like it, about half the bench accidents involve using sucide grip; the other grip (thumb around bar) would seem safer yet it isn't. (No, I have no stats on who wraps and who doesn't, just what I've seen).
Anyway, unless it's a competitive meet, doing benches without a power rack and/or reliable spotters AND going above what you can safely do is just madness..."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com
"Chivalry isn't dead. It just wears a skirt."--Twisted, the YA gender bender deal of the century!
