GENERAL! Nice to see you! I would reccommend the parfait ice cream. It really depends on how low carb she is going. Also, the cheesecake recipes are pretty good. Cream cheese is low in carbs, and with some splenda it tastes just like cheese cake. It's Friday today, so I hope you get this in time. It's my daughter's birthday as well.

Look through the recipe section for cheesecake and parfait. I made the parfait, froze it, and I even made a dark chocolate topping. It all was about 2g of net carbs per serving.

For most recipes I find, I just have to do appropriate substituting. Egg whites for eggs, or a low fat margarine for oil/butter. Turkey bacon. Lower fat meat. The nice thing is that the site has a good place to start.

Anyone doing a Keto diet HAS to check out the link in the first post.

I made taco stuffed peppers tonight and it was AMAZING. My daughter even liked it. I just browned up some hamburger, added a taco seasoning packet, added some red onion, dried chives and some salsa. I parboiled a halved green pepper and filled it with the taco meat. Popped it in the oven and sprinkled it with cheese about 5 minutes before taking them out.

New to keto, but I created an awesome protein pudding. This could qualify as a dessert, but really, it could be eaten at any time:

1 cup of Great Value fat free Greek yogurt (plain).
3 tbsp MaraNatha all natural no stir almond butter
1 scoop Muscletech Phase8 protein (milk chocolate)

    Calories: 515
    Fat: 26
    Carbs: 27
    Protein: 58

For an easier time mixing it all up just mix the almond butter and yogurt together first, then add the scoop of protein powder.
Just when you thought you knew everything. Turns out you really don't know anything.

Far too many carbs for a keto recipe
