    al_77's Sprinting Log

Hey guys, track season is coming up, and I've decided to try out sprinting this year. I'll be honest, with my powerful legs, I can sprint pretty fast. But I know I am no where near what I can be and NEED to be, so hopefully throughout this upcoming season I will be able to open up to my full potential.

    Training:
Gonna be running WS4SBIII for the pre-season, then a simple in-season template when the season starts. Here is what I plan on doing for the next 5-6 weeks:

    Monday: Speed work/Acceleration
    Tuesday: ME Upper
Wednesday: Conditioning (Intervals or hills), Normal Plyos
    Thursday: ME Lower
    Friday: RE Upper
    Saturday: Acceleration/Speed Work

    Nutrition/Diet/Supplementation:
On a calorie deficit, so I'm looking on getting into very low 180's when the season starts, definite 170's during the season. I take protein, creation, vitamins, and bcaa's. Basic diet, no b.s.

I'm gonna work hard on this, though i'm the underdog this season, I will push it to the limit like always.

u need to search speed dynamics. they really do help, hopefully you have a good coach. I was a state champion 200m dash/long jump in illinois, having a coach that knows how to train you so you peak at the right itme is HUGE.

I plan on doing really short-distances like 100m+200m. It starts rather soon, I actually started training specifically for sprints a little too late. But I thought, might as well start it now.
