    What makes fat people..

''stronger''? I realise putting on weight won't be entirely fat, a few lbs of muscle will be added. The added weight will also make things like walking into a building exercise at first.

At the same time I don't get it, why exactly does a larger (in means of fat) man benefit from this in exercises where also your bodyweight, or atleast a fraction of it is used, Like squats or deads.

Is it a stabalising thing or some faster adaption to the weight? My gym seem to host the opinion us larger guys are gonna put up, just wanna know why.

leverage is one reason, although I'm sure it's not the only one.

The fatter you are, the shorter your range of motion on Bench, squat, etc.

I know exactly what your talking about, I have wondered the same thing many times before and I don't know exactly why it's that way. Generally the bigger you are the stronger you are because when you gain weight or fat, you usually gain some muscle with it

Maybe its one of those old bro science legends? or maybe I just hope so. Never realised why squatting on a heavier bw would be easier than being lighter. In the end training is whats important i suppose

Fat fuels muscles and cushions joints. These SHW lifters are not only fat, they have tons of muscle, and a wide frame. Imagine having a 2 foot shoulder girth (not including the fat), would make it very easy to bench press. Same thing if you had a wide hip bone structure.

So at extreme or atleast heavy weights a bigger person, fatter man would handle the preassure better? but in the actual moving phase. Gettin from paralell to lockout in a squat weighing 100-200lbs more than a guy of more ''athletic'' BF % can't be benefitial.

More weight you have behind whatever you are pushing the easier it is going to be typically.

Deadlift might be the exception here.
"Clit stimulation if your fingers are dry is not a good idea. The clit is more sensitive than the underside of a guy's penis, apparently.

Good rule of thumb: make sure you're fingers aren't dry before they go anywhere NEAR her clit/pussy.

Also, besides myself, maybe 2-3 of you have actually done anything like this before..."

Being fat has relatively little to do with being strong. Fat people who are strong would be strong even if they weren't fat. Fat does create slightly better leverages, but not enough to make much of a difference. There are tons of weak fat people out there. Strength is a function of bone structure, muscle mass, muscle fiber type and recruitment.
    Work in progress

because they have a lot more muscle

I've seen plenty of fat people who can barley move, let alone lift any weights. Being fat hurts leverages in some cases also. Generally if someone looks little fat but is lifting big weight, they just have more muscle then you and were not very strict with diet when bulking.

leverage and center of gravity. the bigger an object you are the less 800 pounds on your back is gonna make you crumble. there is a limit to how much it will help before it starts to hinder.

heres something i always wonder being a fat man myself(sort of, kind of got a more muscular build) if guy weighs 350 pounds wouldnt be harder for him to squat more since he weighs more and it is technically just more weight he has to push up?

less rom on bench, and the excess fat around your joints keeps them warm/gives them a little bit of support.

This is why people with really low bodyfat percents (like before a bbing contest) are allot more likley to get injured. well that amung other things of course.

leverage, and a bigger belly (not too big) presses against your upper thighs at the bottom of your squat and deadlift and helps you lift a little more.

also fat people were at least at one time in a calorie excess.

I always thought that having a bigger waist and bigger hips equaled having more potential for building a stronger core. After seeing Stan Effering's videos, maybe I'm wrong on this one...

    Same as above.

I suppose you are talking about real fat people and not skinny fat people. Untrained fat people are fat because they have slower metabolisms than skinny dudes/girls. This is due to their specific hormonal mileu, which is in turn strongly influenced by genetics and maternal uterine environment. Exposure to maternal hormones has strong and everlasting influences on the baby. So think about that next time you hit a PR. When such people start training, this turns to their advantage; provided they eat enough protein in their diet, they will put on weight, a substantial amount of which is muscle. As y'all know anytime added weight=more muscle+connective tissue+bone, etc.

The situation is quite different with skinny dudes and skinny fat dudes, but we are not concerned with them here, are we?

If you mean about you getting 'fatter' then it's water retention and bloat more-so than 'fat'. Fat doesn't do a damn thing other than shorten a stroke, water retention / bloat on the other hand results in increased intra-muscular friction or general tightness.

This is what I generally attribute it to as well. Not all fat people are strong either, if you are overweight but physically active, that's one thing you would most likely be relatively strong. If you are a big fat mess and you decide to start lifting, you might not automatically bench 315 :P

Fat dudes who lose a lot of weight generally have pretty strong legs though from what I've seen.

I have also observed it is much easier for fat people to get stronger and lean out, than for skinny folks to get stronger. Of course, now the fat folk needs to have a lot of self-discipline. But I have seen some skinny guys eat like 2000 calories a sitting and still not gain weight.

DO IT WHEN IT HAS TO BE DONE.

DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
