To attend his daughters soccer games.
WTF is up with that???!!!! In this day and age of him asking people to sacrifice, he has the BALLS to attend his daughters soccer games, costing the taxpayers $30k/day in security, overtime, transportation.
WTF is his problem??!!
And GET THIS...It costs the taxpayers $10k/day just for his kids to play soccer. WTF is THEIR problem? Playing soccer is a PRIVILEGE...not a RIGHT. Those littel rug rats should be home schooled and stay in the White House.
Discuss this blatant disregard for the tax payers money.

Is that a joke? I'm not really sure...
Who cares? I fully support his kids to be able to play soccer, and him to be able to watch.
Yes I think it's obscene amounts of money, but maybe if there weren't *******s out there who'd hurt him/his family if they were unprotected, it wouldn't be needed.
You don't become the president to shut yourself away.

he should be doing presidential things. He should not have time for personal things. NOT WHEN HE IS ASKING US TO SACRIFICE.
Oh and as for the source..I read it somewhere. It cost $300k to fly Airforce 1 around NYC, so someone extrapolated the cost of him attending a soccer game.
THE WHITE HOUSE REFUSES TO RELEASE THE COST OF THESE SOCCER TRIPS.
Why??!! I thought we were going to get change. Open government. etc.

They dont NEED to play soccer. They CHOOSE to play soccer.
A better question...is why wont the White House tell us how much it costs for his daughters soccer games?
President Obama has consistently made clear that he will strive to lead the most open, transparent, and accountable government in history. Whether it is reigning in the influence of lobbyists in Washington, bringing unprecedented accountability to federal spending, opening doors to engagement with the American public, or shutting down the "revolving door" that carries special interest influence in and out of the government, the highest standards will be sought in every thing the federal government does.
LOL @ all the liberals trying to defend the cost of him attending his kids soccer games.

It was on the ABC special. They talked about all the soccer games he has attended.
As for the cost:
THE WHITE HOUSE WONT RELEASE THE COST.
Why are they hiding it?
People have calculated the cost based on Airforce 1 flying around NYC, among other things.
Best case scenario you're looking at a tab around 80k minimum just for the police officers.....assuming that none of them are collecting any overtime. If just half of them are pulling OT, then your cost SIMPLY for police is going to be about 102k or so....and that is just the minimum amount, assuming that they pulled about 4-5 hours on Obama patrol.

My thoughts exactly. It figures the Obamas would raise spoiled little brats. The audacity of these kids thinking they deserve to play soccer, costing the taxpayers $10k just for security details, and on top of that...their parents actually think they have a right to attend those games, adding more debt burden to US taxpayers.
Anyone got a link on how long these soccer leagues last?

I am more outraged by the free advertising that Sports Authority gets from the exposure this photo will receive....
I have come to the realization that everyone on both sides of the political spectrum will always defend "their guy" even if it means contradicting themselves when justifying the actions of "their guy" if it's the same thing "the other guy's guy" did previously.
again I say, "LOL @ party lines..."
But yea..I'm pretty pissed about sports authority's free advert..."The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battle-field, and patriot grave, to every living heart and hearth-stone, all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature." I know. What is up with the libs defending Obama attending his daughters soccer games?
Even worse...they defend the daughters playing soccer. There are alot of kids out there that would love to play soccer, but cant.
What do you expect? The kids are just like their parents. Selfish snot heads.
I wonder how much it costs to send them to school? Why dont the obama's homeschool those kids? It figures they are sending their kids to some elitist private school.

The issue is why he - while admonishing everyone else to be Patriotic, get some skin in the game, and sacrifice to reduce the federal budget - chooses to take a completely personal trip that costs a large chunk of money. Liberals and Democrats are always fixated more on appearances than reality, and the appearance here shows he's totally out of touch with everything he demands of the rest of the country.
If you were out of work and your family was deeply in debt while trying to cut expenses, is a trip to Disney World the right answer, when you could just as easily spend $10 on a local movie, or pop a DVD in the home player?
Here is $30k of your tax payer dollars at work
Man why isnt FOX news covering this?

This would not be on my list of grievances Marky Mark. Children deserve to have their childhood regardless of who their parents are or what their politics are. Now more than ever children need to be children.....
However, I wish they would've chosen a sport of than 'Communist Kickball'
u mad

This thread appears to have set off my sarcasm array center.
The fact is in my eyes, if he is asking the nation to tighten their belt buckles, he too should be held accountable and it is his responsibility to be the leader and role model. And if it means he lacks a personal life and forsakes his family so be it- he chose to become president. (Serious)Eternal Creatures are not so prudent.
