Feeling muscle fibers "rip" during deadlifts

I have noticed this the past two times I deadlifted. On my second set today of 235, I could feel my muscle fibers "rip" in my arm. Around the tricep-back of elbow.

Is this normal? My arms were fine, I can move them fine, but I just want to make sure.

    That's why.

Your muscles usually feel like they are tearing up when lifting, are you fairly new to lifting?

Yes, I've lifted on and off for a year, but more off. The past 5-6 weeks I have been dedicated and following Rippetoes and focusing on compounds.

And yes, I am fairly new to deadlifts.

You may have felt connective tissues.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

i have no idea why stretching would make him feel less of a rip. when i first started out, i never felt anything like that, and i never gave a **** about stretching back then. j/s

Doubt its the muscle fibres. The tears are microtears. They're not full blown tears, which is why usually they can be repaired by your body in a few days.
