Computer help...please.

I'm obviously not very in tune with computers. I'm trying to upload a pic into my avatar. I went to Bodyspace and followed the directions...I think. I tried to download a pic from my computer to My Pictures, but a little box keeps coming up saying it does not allow pictures here?? Would someone mind walking me through the process?

Ok, see at the top right where your avatar would be and there is caption that says "Welcome, Fifty+"?

Click on that.

Then on the Right Upper panel is says Control Panel. Below there is a link that says Edit Profile Picture. Click on it.

Then scroll down to the bottom of that page and there is Upload a New Profile Picture section.

Click on the little icon of a calendar and in that window click on today's date.

Make sure the radio button File is chosen and then click on Browse and browse to your picture you want to upload.

Put a title. Anything will do. and then click on Upload image.

Voila :>

Yes, that's checked off. The I go to brouse, choose a picture and hit download. After 2-3 minutes it says done but with errors on the page???

You may need to resize your pic. You can use www.resizr.com to do that.

It seems slow. Not nearly as fast as the one at work.

If the image you are trying to upload is pretty large then the network connection could be timing out on you. Try IC's advice and reduce the size of the image before you try to upload it again...

Thank you. I tried it but once the green dots fill the little rectangle at the bottom, it just stays there and nothing happens. I looked at the file and it is 1.38mb, 2304 x 3072..?? what ever that means?

It's too big! Resize it to 1,000 x ?. Type in 1,000 in the first box w/the pic size #'s on resizr.com and then click resize my image.

oh my god lol. that is why. The file is way to large.
