You walk out the 500 or just go straight up with it and then back down?
That is a lot of weight to have on your back - even if it is just for a tiny bit of the ROM.My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

Yep youll see plenty of vids too of these singles bro, nothing too heavy yet
Yeah lol, the first set of 410 wasnt too fast but then next few flew up nicely with some good speed. Not much exertion really.
Yes thanks big man, knee was fine. 500lb squat lockout isnt too bad at all really, but bit of weight on the back though as you know since u have actually squatted it! and more.
The latter, just go up and down with it on the back.
Yeah easy brah srs, all my band usage on box squats a while back has made me pretty capable of standing/unracking heavy weight in the squat. But these are great, they build tremendous power off floor too when doing squats, downside is they are taxing on the CNS.
Getting vids from week 2-3 onwards. When weight is more interesting
Hah i doubt it bro, 500lb standing is not overly heavy. Just squatting it is lol.
I always go for trips or doubles when ramping up, it keeps reps all good form and solid speed too
You could man, when racked at low sternum.
Thanks alot will be fun~~~~~~~~~~

I think I'm going to join you in the hudson DL program, try to get my DL up to the mid 5's. I can squat right now but I can definitely do rack lockouts (DLs don't bother the knee at all). Will start next week with what they have laid out in that link. I'll probably do the squat lockouts and SLDLs on leg day though.
There is no need to be upset

'BENCH PRESS FOCUS' ----WORKOUT A
GYM WEIGHT--------------205lbs
SESSION DURATION--------0 hr 55 mins
REST TIMES ---------------2-3 mins
WEATHER------------------20C (68) nice
Purple= (work set) Red= (PR)
NOTES:Week 3 Powerhouse, hit 270 with 5 reps for a few sets and felt good.. Big day at work and lots of stress with not much eating made this workout tough and was very tired. Got done what needed to be done, first set of 270 wasnt bad for 5 reps but last 2 were tough as hell. Shouldnt be this tough but i wasnt in good condition. Wouldnt life be simple if we could lift and not work at all. Another note was interesting i found the paused benching earlier this week helped with weights around 185-245, this seems lightening quick tonight, but once 270 came on it all slowed down alot more so than last time with 270. Might try some more dynamic work next week and smash out 270x6.

270 3x5 and it's an off day? Impressive stuff mate! Hate those weeks when work and life is stressful- hard to get in enough calories to fuel the big sessions. Great job putting in the work
PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

good solid benching despite not feeling it. it happens though.... if you recall my attempt at 315 THAT was a pretty bad bench day.
BTW, update me on everything lately as far as injuries(hopefully none), PRs, and when the hell you plan on pulling 600You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Yeah for sure, feeling good today though
Yeah bro., saw your lockouts tonight. Thats some serious weight on the back man
Thanks for saying so carnage man., wasnt bad but just was feeling weak and tired.
Yeah those busy weeks arent fun bro, it gets annoying but thats life.
The main stuff got done and no failed reps which is the main thing.
--injuries are all but gone, knee is feeling great and squatting painfree now.
--recovery needs work, i need more veggies and proper foods to aid recovery.
--No real PRs last few weeks, just on a rebuilding phase on hudson deads and should see me high 500s in 3 months.
Nice benching from you i saw!~~~~~~~~~~

GYM WEIGHT--------------204lbs
SESSION DURATION-------1 hr 11 mins
REST TIMES ---------------2 mins
WEATHER------------------19C (67F) wet/stormy
Purple= (work set) Red= (PR)
NOTES:Hit some squats again tonight, and since im on hudson now i want to keep this workout of the week for recovery/repetition work. Will be good to get in some high reps for the low body. Well no knee pain again tonight on the knee which is damn good. Worked up to 275 for reps and i havent squatted 275 since around early feb i think.. so i was happy with them actually. Still some good morning on some reps and not quite found the groove but getting better each week. Feels good to squat and feel no pain! Smashed out some heavy high rep Kneeling squats too, light weight. PRs on accessories will be broken EVERY workout while on hudson, im serious about 580+ so training must reflect that

225x3
245x3
275x4
275x4 ----> lost groove on 3rd rep.
275x2
275x2
No knee pain which is cool, went for some nice doubles to keep form strict and reinforce technique. Tried pushing abs out against belt on descent and worked well i thought. 275 felt light which is darn good sign
