Well, boys and girls, I've got a ton of movies, video games, books, and jello to last me until midnight. I don't start my mc dosing until 3pm, so I have a bit of time to do some things before I am confined to my couch, which, thankfully, is 10 feet from my bathroom lol. I was thinking about vlogging today for my youtube channel, but I decided against it. I like to isolate myself when I'm not feeling well, and I'm pretty sure I won't feel very chipper . Wish me luck today! haha. TY, sir!
I appreciate that, Erik .
Thanks, man. It means a lot.
Yeah, I will more than likely have to go every couple years due to cancer running on my mom's side. Kind of like competitive bodybuilding: the first prep is the hardest .
Thanks for reminding me. God is with me, and God is good. I'll be a-okay!*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

Update, ya'll! Home from my procedure and still looped out so I copied and pasted this from a message to a friend:
In case you're curious, they got me in early. I had the procedure (sorry I'm still very loopy from the drugs lol). I do not have crohn's or ulcerative colitis, I was diagnosed with gastritis and some minor eso****eal damage from, you guessed it, acid reflux. I had a polyp in my colon that they biopsied and removed. There's only a 6% change of those being cancerous (most are benign). They also found that part of my large instestine is "floppy" meaning it isn't contracting properly, which could contribute to the nausea every few days from food backing up in that area. Unfortunately they prescribed me a high dose proton pump inhibitor to block stomach acid while my eso****us heals so we can avoid eso****eal cancer. Either way, it's a step in the right direction! I'm going to attempt to make an omelet seeing as I haven't eaten in forever haha.*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

Oh, it certainly isn't over, but thanks all the same. We need to do a gastric emptying test to find out why that part of my stomach isn't functioning properly, and there's still the pending results from the intestinal biopsies. This is going to be an uphill battle, but it's a step in the right direction. I'm going to do a quick write up on my experience yesterday for those who are interested lol.

Procedure Prep
So, this was probably the worst part of the prep. I wasn't allowed any solid foods, and was limited to lemon and lime jello, clear broth, coffee (which made me feel sick after 2 cups on an empty stomach lol) and lemon/lime gatorade, apple juice and water.
I tried my best to sleep in so I could avoid as much of the day as possible... Anyway, I went and picked my car up at 9am from the shop. From there I went to the grocery store to grab some remaining stuff for my prep. That was a bad idea because I was hungry lol. So, I got home and watched a movie then played some Wario Land: Shake it! on Wii. 3pm rolled around... time for my first bottle of magnesium citrate...
This stuff is "lemon" flavored. More like sour poision flavored. It was pretty bad, but I got it down without mixing it or any chasers. I tried pushing fluids in between bottles, but before I got over the horrible taste of the first bottle, it was time for bottle 2. At this point, bottle 1 had kicked in. Well, I had to drink most of the bottle while on the toilet. It was terrible. I chased this with some lemon gatorade. I got it down though! The Bears game started, so I holed up close to the bathroom to watch the game. Lo and behold, it was time for bottle 3. At this point, the tought of it made me want to puke. I gagged it down...
I tried to fall asleep at around midnight, but I kept getting up to go to the bathroom, at least twice an hour, until around 6 am. The hospital called just after 8 saying they could get me in early (I was originally scheduled for 1:45). I said "Hell yeah." and headed off!
Procedure
I arrived at the hospital, checked in, got into my awesome hospital one-zy and they hooked up the IV. I was told by one of the nurses a week ago that they were going to administer general anastesia, however, they informed me that we were going to do the "twilight" method where you're still somewhat awake. Lovely. I got a little nervous at this point, but I sucked it up.
They wheeled me in, and before I knew it I was in the recovery room. The doc came in with some pictures and showed me the polyp they removed from my colon and gave me the gastritis and esophogatits (sp) diagnosis. All in all, it was a 2 hour deal from arrival to discharge. Easy peasy.*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

Dude, they prescribed omeprazole... AGAIN. Remember how we spoke months ago and the omeprazole made matters worse and I couldn't digest food? They just threw a higher dose at me, which ticked me off, but I was too out of it to question things when he handed me the script lol. I don't think I'll take it until the biopsies come back and I talk to the gastro again about an alternative. That s**** messed me up last time .
Thanks, bud. I truly appreciate it.*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

That's because you probably can't remember most of it..
After my first one I was home and I went to the bathroom only to find that I had put my under pants on backwards.
TFW when searching for the trap door and you can't find it and....
Then I realized I remembered being told to get dressed but not actually doing it.She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

Well it's good to know what I've got in store when I get older... Glad you're getting things worked out, no doubt the biopsy will come back negative and you'll churning on all cylinders in no time!

Glad to hear that the procedure went well and that it was not quite as bad as anticipated.
Yeah, anesthesia can make people very loopy. Apparently, it turns me into quite the talker. I was told that before they wheeled me back, I asked for my glasses back so that I could see the pretty nurses. At the post OP appointment, the doctor said I wouldn't stop talking. With as many patients as they see, I must have been saying some awesome things for him to remember that.Today's actions are the fuel for tomorrow's goals.

I certainly hope so! And if not, I'll just have to roll with the punches.
Thanks, man!
Dude, that's hilarious! I honestly don't remember too much of it. I remember in the OR, when they first gave me the anesthesia, my HR shot up to like 400bpm and I got really cold lol.
Thanks, Inna! I appreciate that.*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

I forgot to post my pre magnesium citrate weight and my post!
Thursday morning: 160.4lbs
Friday morning: 157.2lbs.
So not as bad as I thought, but I was literally on the toilet 1-2 times an hour from 4:30pm till about 6am. It was brutal!!
Also, I finally bought Divergent on dvd (the movie I was an extra in), and I clearly saw myself! If anyone rents it, pause it during the initiation ceremony right after Mekhi Phifer (who plays Max) says "Initiates... please stand." It pans to the crowd and you can CLEARLY see me in the upper right hand corner. It's pretty hilarious .*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*
