Today's thoughts are ALL-NBA
Lakers lose again.
Lakers 1-10 when Kobe gets 30+
Lakers 2-7 on the road.
Howard still < 50% from the line.
Defense looks confused and terrible.
Do you think they are regretting not hiring Phil?
Me thinks so.
Big mistake.
Meanwhile Knicks win AGAIN with a big come from behind victory.
I still think Melo is a one-dimensional player. Not nearly the equal of a Lebron, Durant, Paul, etc. Not a top10 player. But I don't think there is anyone I want shooting more late and clutch than him.Founder of MMDELAD

dude, look at the laker lineup. red auerbach couldnt coach this team to a normal record. gasol is out, howard is banged up, nash is out, they have no bench. wtf would phil do? the triangle would magically turn jordan hill into a viable option?
this team needs to get healthy and needs some bench help
and yes, the knicks are bake
it feels good. and if you're calling melo one dimensional, you havent been paying attention. he's easily a top 10 player.

Before Gasol was out, he was being heavily criticized for being lacklustre. Before Dwight was banged up, he was being criticized for being lacklustre. A lot of people contend that Lakers would be better with Nash but the offence isn't the problem at all. The team has terrible defence (even though they're ranked 12th, which isn't the worst).

NFL considering expanding to 14 or 16 teams
<---- Does not like it
IMO right now the NFL is the only major league that has it right.
NBA and NHL have too many
I dont want .500 or sub .500 teams in there
Baseball was too selective at 8 and just now I like the added WC
I mean the Jets would be a playoff teamFounder of MMDELAD

Goodell isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He made a debacle out of the bounty program situation. I hope that doesn't pan out. 12 teams is perfect.

IMO this year is AS open as its ever been and you can only make the case for 7-8 teams having a shot but.... even a better argument
In addition to their only being 12 or less worthy teams, I like rewarding the top two teams with byes.
The regular season still means something in MLB and NFL, not in the NBA or NHL.Founder of MMDELAD

I was a little bored and decided to create aformula to calculate "Rest of Career QB Value"
Still Tweaking but based on my current formula which projects future expected performance, future projected career length and certainty of performance I have a top 20 of:
1. Luck
2. Rodgers
3. Ryan
4-5(too close to sepearate at the moment)- RG3, Cam,
6-7. Brees, stafford
8-12 Bradford, Eli, Flacco, Freeman, Rivers
13-17.Schaub, Romo, Cutler ColinK, Big Ben
18. Brady
19. Dalton
20. Wilson
20. Brady
Note: The tiers of players are because just a slight alteration of the formula would shuffle the order
Another interesting Standings
1. Seattle 6
2t. NE 5
Pitt 5
NYG 5
5t.SF 4
GB 4
Hou 4
Balt 4
9t.Atl 3
Chi 3
11t. Denv 2
Cinci 2
Indy 2
Wins vs teams w/ winning records among current playoff teams (considering they will only be playing other teams with winning records. Speaks highly of Seattle who I have discounted. Not so high of Denver who I think has a real shot)Last edited by determined4000; 12-12-2012 at 11:50 PM.

Luck at #1 is hard to say.
Look at the amount of picks he has thrown compared to RG3 both as rookies. RG3's ratio of TD's/INT is far superb over Luck, granted they both have great records from teams that struggled last year, but the overall complete QBR has to be taken into account and when done RG3 > Luck in that aspect.
but overall.. Manning is looking sharp, Brady is always on point, but the rookies are getting the job done.
Any word on if RG3 is gonna play vs the Browns?

IMO ints is not a good stay to judge rookies by. Look at both mannings. Pretty bad year 1. Then look at guys like scam that had a great year 1. I think both are going to be very good but I take luck for my $

I think Cam Newton is still doing well. He's had some ups and downs this year but he's on track to producing more than he did last year and his last 4 games have been pretty damn good for him (0 turnovers, 11 total TDs).
Probably and because his team went from being the worst to challenging for a playoff berth. I still think RGIII is having the best rookie year and should get ROY.“Go back?" he thought. In regards to my rankings
RG3 mostly scores lower than Luck because his projected career length is lower
Lakers down 16 in 1st quarter

x2 what is "Your Ranking" and how do you make this?
Is this based off something off ESPN or another website? How do you know Luck might not have a season ending injury and it may prolong him from recovery like Payton for a few years with his neck and RG3 has a breakthrough year the next two years? Thats why they play the game..
Philly vs Cincy is closer than i expected. Eager to see what happens if Philly gets another score.
