Brah think about it. Humans started out by feasting and fasting and the first humans had crazy strength. Get a big kill, feast until it's gone, then starve and repeat. IF just mimics this. It really is ideal for cutting and bulking it keeps you lean. The metabolism is stoked and is fast as fark during the feeding period due to your body needing the nutrients and then receiving them so quickly all at once. You can see progress almost daily cutting with IF its amazing. Always wake up shredded.

I think you're just making this up? How do you know the first humans had crazy strength, humans are much bigger now than they used to be. And the guy who advocates IF specifically says that the metabolism doesn't get "stoked," that it doesnt speed up or slow down.
In for more responses though, I have been wondering the same thing. Maybe it's the huge amounts of protein he recommends that keeps you lean? I don't understand why not eating would encourage fat burning over muscle. No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable. - Socrates

As long as you hit your macros every day, meal timing is irrelevant. IF isn't any better than 6meals a day in terms of fat loss, but you may find it easier to stick to if you like eating larger meals. That's why I do it. The best plan is the one you stick to. Everyone here obsesses too much over insignificant details.
Consistency is the key.

I don't know much about this diet but, I think your body takes days to fully digest food/nutrients and things like protein stay in your blood stream for a while. But I'm not a scientist. I'm just a sciencer.
Spike92 is 15.
^ place this in your sig to remind the world that Spike92 is indeed 15 and will never be anything other than 15.
When im not hungry I eat. When Im tired I train. When I feel like giving up I push harder.

I don't have the most inspiring avatar, but I can say I'm 18 pounds down from it using purely IF. I expect to post shredded pics this summer. Or on my 40th in the fall. It constantly gets easier and more of a lifestyle every week.
I had to use sugar in my coffee for a month or more at first to ward off the headaches that I would get from fasting till noon all the time. Then I did'nt need any. If I'm busy, I find I go till 1-2pm with no food with no problem.
Today I actually worried if I was going to be able to woof down another 1900 calories and 100g of protein before bedtime. (after my 1000k meal at 2pm) Let me tell you about the joy of pounding an enormous bowl of cereal (had to use a mixing bowl) that included fruitloops, real milk and a huge beef taco. With a half pound of ground beef, half cup of cheese, 4 tablespoons of real sour cream at eight o'clock at night. Feelsgoodman.
