Hello. Been struggling on the same weight for three weeks now.
I'm 160 pounds 6.0" 20 years old male.
I have a electric kitchen scale and weight EVERYTHING I eat every day.
I usually eat around 1650 calories per day, but can fluctuate up to 1800 on certain days.
I run 3.5 miles 4 days a week.
My diet is as following : Breakfast: Oats, milk, and 2 spoons strawberry jams = 620 calories
Lunch : One slice of whole wheat bread with mackerel and 3 dl milk = 375 calories
Dinner : 150-200 g of lean meat / chicken with 1 teaspoon of cremè fraiche = 200 calories
Post-training : 2 scoops of whey + 3dl milk = 224
Supper : 3 eggs = 266 calories
Macros : 147 g protein, 137 g carbs, 52 g fat.
The first week went fine. I lost 1kg/2 pounds but I'm guessing that was water-weight etc..
For reference I'm skinny-fat.
What's going on??

dunno how many more of these questions are gonna be asked, but here it is
first, if you trying to lose fat, the # on the scale should not be the end all and be all of ur fat loss, you should go by how you look, given that
its only your second week , maybe ur body is holding on to more water this week , give it some time, if after cpl weeks it stays the same than re-evalueate your diet.
edit: for 6'0 , 160lbs, what is your bf%? you are almost at an avg weight for your height

First 3 weeks is nothing. Are you strength training? Have you tried lowering your calories even more?
The body wants fat, fat is good on it, fat is surviving. So you have to fight to lose it, and when I say fight I mean starve yourself with a calorie deficit. Lower calories more or burn more from working out or running.
Just decide if starving yourself is worth not having the love handles and some belly fat.I might be wrong though.
Skeptic with a passion.
