Noob question, I noticed some members posted transformations where their torso spread out into this magnificent V-shape. What does that? How? Extra chest and back exercises? I'm talking about those who went from the tube shape to a narrow waist with wider shoulders and upper body.

Delts and lats primarily, as well as cutting (reduces fat on the midsection). Delts and lats alter your body shape substantially, and tend to grow noticeably. Just 4-8 weeks and you should see results.
Also, some of the younger guys in here probably had rib cages and clavicles that kept growing.

1st pic is from my senior year in about late 2009
2nd pic is from 3 months ago
Last one is a halloween pic about a few days ago lol, not fully flexing so it is a little misleading and it's a little blurry. I apologize.
Didn't start working out until late November of 2010, almost a year ago. I honestly feel a little discouraged because I feel like I had a long period of time and only gained a little imo. If you have any advice or feedback, would greatly appreciate it.

Not exactly ripped by any means, but I've gained 18 lbs in since August. Gained a decent amount of strength and weight. Bulking until March and (to hopefully around 210) and then cut for summer. Looking forward to the gains in the next 5 months before I do though!

6 weeks progress extreme dieting extreme training 80% compound exercises, only suppliment i've been using is a vegan optimal health shake xD I've been eating on average 3500-4000 callories a day. It was hard the first week but then my body got used to the heavy eating / lifting. Any tips you guys can give me? I just started a split a week ago so now I'm working out 4-5 times a week as well! Gained 15 lbs in 6 weeks. I'm shooting for 185 lbs by June 1st 2012, I'm currently 155 lbs 6'2
