No, I have been involved in a few "altercations". Most of your fights come from drunk people coming in from the street after just being arrested. Drunk people are funny because they honestly think they have the coordination to fight.
Also I may be alone when the fight starts but there is always 3-4 guys just as big as me watching from around the corner to help "if needed".

Interesting thread.
I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said by someone working in retail, but basically at most clothing mall stores if we see someone steal something, we are allowed to walk up and say "Would you like us to put that shirt in the dressing room while you shop?" and let them know we know. But we are in NO circumstances allowed to follow them, chase them, tackle them, call police, or even call mall security.
Kind of ridic imo. Especially considering one of the stores I worked at lost about $26K in a 3 month period due to shrink of JEWELRY. Cheap, cheap, less than-$10-a-piece jewelry. It was about $10K loss for shirts.

Well, the reason why is liability.
But think of it like this paladin -- is your job worth being shot in the face over a t-shirt? I can guarantee most if not all LEO's wouldn't waste their energy on a T-shirt theft.
And while we are at this question --- at what point as an employee would you take a bullet for your employer in retail business?

Cost analyisis for these large corporations find that it is more economic to "prevent" theft with security personnel, cameras, tag detectors and so on. It is a potential legal cluster**** if your employees feel like they have to play cop and robber every time a person steals some ****.

Doorman (UK): We don't legally have to give you a reason for not letting you in, or asking you to leave. As soon as we ask you to leave a venue and you refuse, you are tresspassing and we have the right to remove you.
We often give bull**** reasons as to why you cant come in: IE, if you look drunk we'll say it's your dress. If you look really ****ed up i'll just say we're closed.

The problem you'll end up facing is that you will become Jack of all trades and master of none. Of course this is dependant on the environment you find yourself in, but I am personally responsible for internet, email, switches, routers, printers etc. The pay is decent but not great. However you can make a decent living off it if you have the technical ability and the drive to get somewhere. Senior IT managers and technical directors usually start off in my field or similar.
You will eventually end up having to choose between specializing in something and moving up to manager. I chose the former and studied SAP which I will be working with in 3 weeks time at my new job. Highly specialized jobs like SAP, Oracle DBAs etc all earn crazy ****en money.

most cops deal with the worst of the worst on a daily basis.
You could easily go from running a domestic abuse call in a house where there are 6 children under the age of 8, whom are living in the worst environment imaginable, are watching there dead-beat father beat their mother nightly.
To a call where a 13year old gang-banger shoots and kills another teen of similiar age over a pair of Nike shoes. The next call could be saving a kitten from a tree for someone grandmother. The highs and lows are incredibly and most people can't handle the pressure over the course of a career.

Not a doctor, but have worked with physicians and have done plenty of shadowing.
You'd be surprised at how many regular people are addicted to pain meds. I mean 45 year old joe blow with a nice job and 3 kids, is addicted to meds.
Don't go into a doctors office complaining about trivial stuff and asking about meds. The doctor may just give you meds just so you will leave, whether you need it or not. He has more important patients to get to. I mean do your research online, but don't come in there arguing with the doctor because you spend 20 minutes on WebMD.
BE nice to everyone in the hospital, you will definitely get better treatment.
Docs really do like helping people, its just some patients make this impossible.
Doctors really don't get paid enough.I read about your gyno too, Im sorry
I had a friend get surgery over some bitch tits cuz he didnt want ehm

hospital pathology laboratory
you ever wonder why red cross is always doing blood donation drives? You honestly think they need that much blood? If you knew what happened to the majority of it youd probably never donate again.Nov 04-fatass @40%bf

Hospitals are just creepy places.
One day I saw what looked like 'very important' people come in, escorted by a few doctors and staff. Wearing suits, very neatly groomed. I initially thought they were pharmacuetical reps, or there for some business deal, or respected surgeons who had come a long way for some reason.
Whoever these people were, everyone was ushered out of the way by their escorts as their made their way through the hospital. I was seriously like 'wtf is with these people' why are they that important or special that everyone must get out of the way for them, and they were taken to a room that needed the highest securty clearance.
I went back to the lab and just forgot about it, until later on I saw them in one of the other pathology labs through about 5 windows-but I could clearly see what they were doing-pouring blood out of iv bags into wine glasses and drinking it like champagne and talking to each other. Kept it to myself, certainly didnt tell anyoneNov 04-fatass @40%bf
