So far so good! I did a little to much partying last night but I keep cals in check including alcohol so it's all good. I'm going to gym the here soon and I except some good squat numbers! A little productive snatching.
Yesterday when I was there I over heard some of the guys talking about me while I was a gym bag away!! LOL I guess one of the guys teaches a weightlifting class.. he was like .."Now there's a girl I'd like to have in my class.. watch her when she comes out.." LOL
The bigger I get the more attention I draw. Yesterday I must have had 4 people approach me and lots of guys that were trying to watch with out looking like they were staring.Last edited by grace_ou; 01-16-2010 at 09:44 AM.

Yeah at least now they say nice things! LOL I guess I managed to earn respect along the way. When I first stared powerlifting last year and adding weight, they all just thought I was crazy! Like all heard for the longest time was **** like.."Oh you keep bulking and lifting like that and ya'll just end up big and fat." "Your gonna end up looking like a man.." blah, blah,blah... now I'm starting to hear stuff like.. "Damn that's impressive.." I get compliments now.. even at my higher weights.. which to me is just funny.
The same guys that thought I was a fool for giving up being a 110 and wearing a size zero, or that said things like why would you give up being so small or why give those model looks to get big and have muscles.. cause big muscles on a girl are unattractive it makes them look like a man!! THOSE same guys are the ones hitting on me now going OMG! Even with my bf up those same guys seam to be signing a different tune this semester. Interesting..

I think zerchers are like my God of squats! LOL I love them.. they have so much carry over to stones, back squats and my deadlift. Where else can you can find that!
When I first started them it was akward figuring out how to hold the bar and it left bruises up and down my arms, but now I can just automatically place the bar in correct arm positioning. There's no movement around on my arms any more. I also don't get the marks or bruises on my arms any more. I aslo firmly believe that the zerchers are easier on my lower back then back squats.. like using them so much saves alot of where and tear on my back.
I use different variations of the zerchers.. I use squat from low bar placement, I use full zerchers for dead/squat days.. when I need to do both.. and on the occasion I cann't get in the cage then I think squatting in the smith is much better done with zerchers.. I hate squatting in the smith of the gym is packed it's better then nothing... and I think zerchers are better done in the smith then the back squat.

You know I never really thought about that but it's weird that I didn't because it's pretty much the same concept.
That's actually the main problem I'm having is leaving the bruises on my arms, and I bruise like a peach LOL (jk) but once I figure out how to hold the bar I should be goodRIP Josh Mapp

I bruise easily two happens here when to start doing zerchers,, (much like stone lifting) first you will learn to settle into a spot on your arms that becomes naturally comfortable and the bar want slide then.. second I think the skin thickens a little or adjust in some way.. like ya know my skin doesn't feel any different but I don't get soreness or bruises from the bar sitting on my arms anymore. This did take a while though! LOL

My gym keeps odd hours sometimes,, It's a collage gym. I have another gym I go to sometimes primarily for events trianing, but it's really small and out in the middle of nowhere,, so they kinda open when they can gather enough people.. it's on a ranch.
I have alot of equipment at home but curently I guess kiddos thought it was a greta place to leave a crazy amount of toys and shoes ect.. LOL so I guess I'm doing chorers before working out today!
