The main passage of Scripture we will look at is found in the first chapter of the book of Romans, where Paul writes, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (i.e., not fitting; suitable

No I haven't. Here is why: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=118963611
I don't believe the propositions of any religion because I haven't been given sufficient reason to believe.
I will attempt to dissuade people of their religious convictions because I believe religion to have, in balance, a negative effect on humanity. This includes moderate faith.
In these things I'm fairly typical of the atheists on this board, though any comments I make are my opinion only.

What does that have to do with whether or not we're raping, pillaging, or stealing? And I thought we had free will, so are you saying he's forcing us to not do those things? Well, some of us, at least, because lots of people ARE doing those things. Why would he allow some people to do those things but not all? He only sort of gives a damn about innocent people?

Now I am not a believer in the word made by man regarding God, but is there a higher power? sure why not, does it make people happy? in a sense yes/no but hey does it matter? those who don't believe in the God will still make there pledge on their death bed or when their time comes, why? because no one knows what comes next, we all would love to continue in to another life, I know I would.
but I feel like most in this world, God or Jesus might save our souls and forgive our sins according to man and according to a single book that was written by man (sorry in reflection of Gods words), but to allow man and women to rape and murder and kill all in his name, that is a horrible thought of an allowing God and billions of people do not believe that a force as great as that of what we call God should allow this to continue.
so believe if it makes you feel good inside, pray and you shall receive is something so true, energy is what we are and continue to be until we leave this planet and return to the universe, hell I think when we die we all become stars in the universe, all you can say for the amount of death this world has for gone and for the amount of stars in our universe....you be your own judge.
God is a word not anything else.injury is not from bad form, its from pushing that extra rep out and dropping your weight on your spotters foot!

Jesus was not god:
Mark 13:30 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."
Deuteronomy 18:22 "If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken."

The problem of evil is a terrible argument. The reason God allows sin to happen is the same reason that He doesn't just whack you right now and decides it's game over for arrogant Bliminal.

Goes to show you that atheism and rational thought don't go hand in hand as they would want you to think. The middle of the road, is tryin to find me

He pretty much allows anyone to do it.
But allowing them to happen doesn't mean that He won't punish said actions.
It's sort of like He allows your day to day blasphemy, a crime far worse than any other crime ever committed. God is the prime receiver of sin out of anyone in the Universe. When humans sin against us, we have NO right to complain because we are sinners ourselves and are deserving of those acts. But if we sin against the Holy One, then it makes sense that we should be punished. Don't get me wrong, God punishes sins against humanity but He takes an even greater offense to sins against His person, as so many atheists do today. God sees Dan Barker and Richard Dawkins as greater offenders than say someone like Ted Bundy.
Now of course, you'd reply with "but teh dawkinz never raped no1!!" it doesn't matter. Rape is a sin against a human, who is a sinner (nobody is innocent). Blasphemy is a sin against a perfect being who CREATED you (a woman who gets raped did not create the man who raped her, nor did she ever love him to the point God loves us).
But here's the kicker. God used OUR OWN SIN AGAINST HIM AS A WAY TO FORGIVE US. Our destruction of His perfect being on the Cross is the way in which He reconciled us back to Him. Our greatest crime is what God used to save us.
That's why I'm a Christian. God is so loving that he willingly takes every bad thing we give Him and STILL loves us. God doesn't send anyone to Hell. Atheists make it clear they have a personal vendetta against Yahweh. Since they don't want Him at all, He grants them their wish. Atheists would hate heaven so Yahweh rightfully sends them where they belong. The middle of the road, is tryin to find me
