Here's my buddy's band. They're pretty good. One of the top bands in the local scene.
http://www.myspace.com/wftbmusic
They just released a self-published album they spent something like 15k getting mastered and recorded right.
Eviscerate the Night is probably the most accessible North American style metal on the myspace. They're all good though.
And now, because they don't have any well mastered stuff on Youtube, I include a LoG song.
EDIT: My buddy's the screamer. You'd never think it if you met him in normal life. He's just a really nice, happy, skinny kid with a jesus beard.Last edited by Ectotastic; 07-11-2009 at 11:59 PM.

Been a while since I listened to this band, If you haven't checked out their album 'Retaliate' do it now! Still one of the best metal albums IMO.

Man that doesn't prove anything. That's like saying kreator ripped off slayer and maybe a bit of metallica too.
Believe me there are much better bands to try and copy than JFAC. JFAC sounds like crappy deathcore on that Genesis album, whereas Burning the Masses sounds like primarily Tech-deth, I see no similarity therefore Burning the Masses>JFAC in the skill department
And Burning the Masses are tech death/deathcore in genre...only so far you can go before you start sounding like other bands don't ya think? Think about how many black metal bands sounds exactly the sameLast edited by GrizzStrength; 07-12-2009 at 06:17 AM.

Yeah, it's OK, but the second half of the third song is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I have no ****ing idea why they would have thrown that part in, it completely ruins it for me and to an extent, makes the album a lot ****tier. You'll see what I mean when you get to it...

You guys should check this band out, I'm hooked on the first song " the end of resilience ".
I used to be in school with the guitarist, these guys have progressed SO MUCH the last years.
Give it a listen, it's good stuff http://www.myspace.com/avoidmetalAses's MAX-OT styled keto bulk:

I just finished the 2nd half of the album, haha do you mean those female screams on the..guess you'd call it the 3rd track? sounded a little weird but man, I gotta say I love this album. A definet "will buy", great debut.
You liked the 1st one? I wouldn't be able to get past those vocals.

I'm talking about the song "Through The Collapse: Watchers Restrained" starting at about 3:30 when he just starts doing that stupid speaking/moaning voice...it just annoys me.
I'm pretty sure I recommend a band called Voyager to you already, but I can't remember if it was actually you or someone else. Try out Anaal Nathrakh, Pig Destroyer, maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot and Mouth of the Architect. maudlin of the Well literally changed my opinion of what I call 'good music' now - start with their album "Bath" and then move on to "Leaving Your Body Map" and then just go wherever the **** you want to from there.Life is not the opposite of death, death is the opposite of birth; life is eternal.

Depends on what bands you think are metal..
Tool & NIN have been my fav bands for 10 years
Pantera
Lamb of God (saw them play in Tokyo a few months ago and it was awesome because they kept pointing my husband and I out because we stuck out like a sore thumb. We brought a Virginia flag (where they are from and where I'm from) and flew that sucker for them to see)
In Flames (they played with LoG which was cool)
Five Finger Death Punch
Skinlab
Coal Chamber
Mushroomhead
Hatebreed
Machine Head
Megadeth
Lacuna Coil
there are a lot but most are sub genre metalLast edited by metalprincess; 07-13-2009 at 07:38 PM.
