It all depends on how you prepare them. Of course eating French fries or mashed potatoes loaded with butter and cream isn't going to do your body any favors, but white potatoes have plenty of health benefits (lots of vitamin C) that people often overlook because of their association with high-calorie, fattening foods. But if you're talking about a plain potato, sure, it's healthy to eat every day.

you are missing the point whole wheat bread is great, oats are my everday foods, cereal well i prefer oats.... Im just saying making healthy choices means not subjecting yourself to high sugary foods like cocoa puffs or poptarts or candy bars, and things deep fried foods that will clog the heck out of your ateries

It is healthy, but you have to skin them. Some toxin in the skin protects them against attack. Also have to boil them. The toxin is mostly in the skin, but also is deactivated with heat. Then you need fiber with the potato to slow the digestion a bit. Butter might do this some.
Plenty of vitamin C and potassium. Just don't cook them longer than needed. Once they are soft, they are good. Cook too long, and you lose even more vitamin C.
I would love to eat them every day, but I'm too lazy to cut them up, and don't like how they go bad in a week or two. Oats are so easy to preserve and prepare. But variety is good, if you are not lazy.

Depends what is in the ingredients. And they can lie too. The laws just are not strong enough to force them to tell you if there is transfat in there, and they do everything to mislead you. They will call it by 50 other names so you don't know. Yes, bread can be very healthy, but 95% is not. To avoid the poisons they put in there, it is just easier and safer to buy whole foods.
Be warned: some types of foods were supposed to be processed. Like soy beans. You are not supposed to eat fresh soybeans. Or fresh olives. Or fresh cocoa. Lost of stuff is supposed to be processed before you can eat it. Some grains are supposed to be acid processed to get rid of phytic acid. So if you eat whole foods, you can't get the variety you can with processed foods. Unfortunately, they add other unneeded stuff nowdays. Sad.
