No pics of hike no care
Srs tho nice work per usual my friend
Have you tried seated good mornings? Also I think you might wanna consider purchasing a back extension piece they're pretty cheap compared to everything else. Its helped me allot since we're fuking sitting down all the time probably getting atrophy in our backs, like the QL muscle which is rarely talked about but very important and common problem for athletes. Got a vid in my journal showing so many diff things you can do with it. lemme try to find it
Edit-
Double edit - @ 17:40 the side bend movement is $$$$

with thursday being the holiday and possible hiking the weekend, I tossed both big lifts from my legs & pull into one sesh. If I squeak in a day for accessory work, great, if not, no worries.

Post Thanksgiving Update
Gonna be a light week....
I went hard in the mountains on Sunday- 9 tough miles, over 4k of total elevation gain, fresh snow, brutal winds on a 2 mile open ridge above 5000 feet, full winter pack...
needless to say, my body is smoked. Brain fog, was tough to find any clarity yesterday morning. I did a quick bench sesh today to get some blood moving, but prob won't do much else in the gym until later in the week. rest and calories are needed!
Tuesday 11.30.2021
Bench:
210 x 3
225 x 1 (solid 2pps single!)
185 x 7
*followed by a few minutes on my climber just to work some blood into my legs
Climb post and pictures incoming
Hells yea! Prob around Feb-March i'm gonna drop the hammer and really get tight with the diet to shed up for summer season. For now I need to keep a little bodyfat to keep me warm in the mountains!PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Franconia Ridge climb Sunday 11/28/2021
Epic one today! Not officially winter yet, but winter conditions are certainly here!
9 miles, approx 4k elevation gain. 3 peaks, nearly 2 miles on an open ridge- views the entire way but also full exposure to the wind & elements.
6.5 hrs total time.
Brutal 9 miles
Snow was on the ground right from the parking lot and increasing all the way to the ridge. Over a foot in the scrub before breaking out onto the ridge. Once in the open, the wind had blown most of it away leaving just a light crust.
Views were limitless- the only thing hampering visibility was the curvature of the earth.
Temps were in the low teens, however the ridge was getting blasted by wind gusts that were bitter cold. A fellow climber had a gauge and he measured a 34mph gust (and we had stronger ones as we went). I was glad to have my heavy expedition mitts to keep the hands warm and a balaclava to protect the face.
frozen waterfall on the way up

just breaking treeline before 9AM

lifted this morning lmao
bench 135 x5 (x3)
lateral plate raises 5s x 15 (x3)

I lifted a bit last year but got sick in December then didn't get back to it. I've been staying active and healthy though: hiked over 300 miles in 2022, over 100k of elevation gain and a chit ton of peaks summited.
Had a decent winter climbing in NH, i think I have 130+ miles year to date. We've had a rainy spring and summer so far so trail time has been tough. I've also been travelling a ton for work.
BW is 169 right now. Almost 2 years soberPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
