No. They make 5-50 and 5-80. I think for most things, they will be perfect for me. I had Ironmasters that went up to 120lbs but I never used them. I was too lazy to switch them.
My training is not so much based heavy any longer so I think 80lbs will be good. I held off on getting these for a while, but they have been out for long enough and seen quite a few review vids from some legit reviewers who all say (besides dumbbells 100+ lbs) these are the best adjustable. Rogue even sells them which says something for the level of quality. Rogue sells very little stuff that is not their own brand.
I should have them in a few day and will give feedback.RAW lifts

Good day yesterday! Continuing to see some bench growth after the past year of trying to get those neurons firing again.
Did two singles at 325 which moved very well, slipped a little on the rerack - the gym floor is quite slick.
Did 3x4 at 295 with pauses which is a huge jump even from my recent past... feeling good about a meet PR next month!

Last workout of a pretty intense week! Hitting PRs all week - still a little work to do but feeling these are within reach for next month. We'll see! I attempted 565 on deads again yesterday and and came oh so close. I've never failed that close to lockout before - don't think it's a major technique issue - just right there at maximal weight for me right now, although feedback is always welcomed!

Bump on this
If you dont train specifically for this chances are you will be fried, however ive been building up for this every week.
Today I squatted 89# for 89 reps it was a great workout but also no big deal.
I think this is the greatest training approach ive ever done in my life. Ive gained lean mass and strength and I haven't lost a # in BW.
As the weeks continue I have no doubt I will destroy 110# for 100-110 reps and feel the same way as today, yes its fuking hard but really not a big deal.

Monday squats! Worked up to my planned 'opener' at 465, then jumped to try a PR at 510 again... I think this might get whites... but probably not
I tried putting the rack lower since I get caught on the rack when it's higher, but it was very low and I had to squat the weight off the rack... combined with focusing on my depth I really struggled with the weight. I stalled a couple times, but never dipped, and grinded it out! Rest of the workout went well, but as you can imagine, my back was pretty locked up :P

Tuesday - did my bench workout yesterday so I could watch USMNT today! Went for a new PR and bam! It's moving very well. I'm just really excited to see bench continuing to improve. <3
Used sneakers to help with the slippery gym floor and it did seem to give me a little more grip.

Quiet in here folks!
Today is my last day of reserve duty for the year: did heavy deads once more. My coach had me attempt 555lbs which is a PR but also the number of the unit I worked with this rotation
Got the weight, but struggled to fully lock out again.... will keep working on it!
I'm looking forward to being back in my garage with my own equipment again, but it's been a good experience to lift with all the young folks here :P
Have a good weekend!

@Phd. GREAT deads man!
Also, I got my Nuobell adjustable dumbbells and I LOVE them. Really been nice to work them into my workouts. It has been 3 years since I touched a dumbbell so it was kinda weird.
Another milestone. One more year now till 50. Boy that seems so old. The idea that 50 is only a year away. Well, I have had some of my sh!ttiest years of training in the last few. I really would like to turn 50 in good shape. I never quite manage to get to where I want to be. I guess I just have not wanted it enough. SO it is time to start looking inward to what I want.
Most people look at me and think I am 'fit', but I am never really happy. Maybe that is why myself and others look like this. Because we are never happy. Maybe being satisfied is the killer of motivation. I really dont know. But my motivation has sucked as of late and yet I am still not 'happy'. Been working through a lot of shoulder rehab and taking it easy on my back. I hope to find some clarity and focus.

Thanks!
I should probably consider getting adjustibles like that... I have a set up to 30lb but for personal use getting a set heavier than that gets really pricey.
You do indeed look good - I've said before your build is one that I aspire to in that we have similar body types... and I think I'm making progress lol
I think there is a balance that is indeed very difficult to find.
One should feel good about oneself if you are actively engaged in a healthy lifestyle and continuing to work at getting healthier, but 'satisfied' if it means accepting stagnation... no. Satisfied in the sense of feeling good about where you are and the work you've put in - definitely.. but again, still with the desire and drive to continue getting better!
Since I beat you to the 50 by a year... and my big push on health really only started a year ago - I think you can keep it up! Keep workin!
After several really heavy weeks, I'm thankful for a deload this week.
Next week will be heavy singles again, then the following week is openers only and rest before my nest meet!

@Phd.
I dont cant say enough good things about the dumbbells. NO REGRETS. Like I said, I had a set of ironmaster w/ 120lb add on kit, and I never used them. These are soooo nice. I just keep them on the ground and turn the handle and go. I have been finding uses for them every workout. Just super nice and well worth it. I was skeptical at first when I saw them, and then as reviews started to come out, I gained the confidence to pull the trigger. I give it my full unpaid endorsement!
Thanks for kind words. Just keeping on. Awesome to watch your progress. Love seeing others get after it. I can totally relate to the feeling like you are making up for lost time. My first few years were 'life and death'. As time has gone on, I have chilled out a bit. No regrets there either. Just always finding that life's balance.
Keep it up!RAW lifts

Thank you ID!! <3
Didn't record any of my deload bench stuff Wed but it felt good!
I did record my light deficit deads yesterday and frankly my form wasn't great. I still have some low back soreness from my last few weeks' heavy singles, so I think I didn't really commit to getting my hips open and butt down. Still the weight was light of course and mostly kept things moving.
Next week will be back to heavy stuff for the last time before my meet the end of the month.

This thread drying up?
I have been finding my groove lately. Actually enjoying workouts. I am trying to be a little more reserved on eating because I would really like to be in good shape for summer which I never quite manage to get where I want to be.
If I can keep going the direction I am now, I think I will get there! I aint pretty....but no one says "DYEL"

This thread ain't drying up on my watch lol!
Enjoying the workout is a bonus - but generally I find it to be the same - the highlight of my day most days! Great work!
Lol agree
Yesterday was my last big Squat day before my meet in two weeks, attempted a PR at 513 and felt it was definitely there! I can see where recently my depth concerns have lead to me leaning forward more to try to get lower (how stupid is that). I was able to fight to stay more upright on this lift and frankly the 513 didn't feel that bad!
Sheesh, folks in this thread probably have seen my PRs a little over a year ago at 425. Awesome progress!

That is the nice part about having your own gym. I dont leave bars loaded, but I have plates strewn around here and there. My daughter on the other hand still has not figured out how to rack the weights!
Thanks man. I know you have high standards and I appreciate that. I am getting closer, but I am right at a stage now where depending on bloat, I go in and out of good abs. Yesterday was a good day for whatever reason. I still need to shed a little more torso fat. It is the last I have on me and of course the hardest to get rid of. I have not done anything to really try since I have lacked motivation, but I am getting excited to workout and my last few workouts were a lot of fun.
At the end of the day, no one understands more than you that we set our own standards for ourselves. I just have never gotten myself there. I think I have passed my peak for holding mass, and all I have left is to be 'fit'. So at some point I have to pull my head out of my a$$ and do something.
Hoping to be there for summer. The pic below was the leanest I have ever gotten. It is right before I hurt my back 3 years ago. My goal is to get past here and STAY there year round. I am probably about 5lbs away from this.

All right! Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!
Yesterday felt great - didn't push my bench too hard as I am planning to try a PR one final time today before my meet next weekend. My 2x5 sets at 275 were my opener in a meet one year ago, so I felt great! Added some pin presses for fun.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. Haven't gotten reds on a press yet (for that issue), but I will certainly wait for the press command before starting back up! The rules specifically state that you can 'sink' the bar into the chest but that one can't sink again after coming to a stop and receiving the press command. I'll work on it.

Last workout before the meet! I'll do openers at some point next week but no working sets... Did a relatively easy 525 deadlift before some working sets at 450 with pauses... overall a good last workout before next Sat meet (Feb 26): my openers should be my total from my last meet and hoping for a pretty big jump on each lift (goal is a 1400 total fingers crossed).

I will post a vid in a week or so of my BORs they are interesting.
I gotta say I’m still have no interest in modern bodybuilding but I like that I’m loosing my gut doing these higher reps.
I looked into some bodybuilding stuff from Steve Reeve and Grimicks day and those guys are so under rated today, those guys had HUGE rib cage developed from 20 rep squats, they were stronger and better form than the latter bbers.
You can tell how these guys today have a crappy bloated look because they use crappy form, Yates I think looked too bloated and his form on BORs were garbage he did them too heavy and he stood upright because of it. It’s all drugs with those guys. He woulda looked better using lighter weight and did higher rep BOR.

Good work buddy
I think it's pretty obvious that you are doing cardio with weights but it is definitely improving your health and fitness overall. You are losing weight and muscular endurance is definitely improving.
It's interesting that since I've been here you've totally changed your programming, but it does seem to suit you personally better. It's never too late!
