Looks like I get to go to Reston, VA sometime next week for a scope meeting about a job we just bid. Loving that I'm going to get to do this kind of stuff every once and awhile at this job. That's about as exciting as things are going to get for me so I feel you Ben

i must be anomaly bc I can handle a ****load of deadlift volume. More than I can handle on bench. I've been running conventional and sumo in the same session every Sunday for a long time now. I don't know when I'll finally get around to competing, but when I do I will be pulling sumo. Still, I've been running my 5/3/1 rep scheme conventional with a joker set, and immediately after I run a sumo session. I do the sumo session based on RPE rather than percentages, but typically end up pulling heavier weights than I pulled conventional. I've found the crossover from conventional to sumo to be strong.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Aware me?
Sales isn't for everyone. There are aspects of it that I enjoy, and I do have the tenacity for it, but I don't enjoy it the way the guys around me do. I just happen to be pretty good at it, and any change I've considered had me taking a considerable pay cut....so feel kind of trapped in it. Luckily the last few companies I've worked for have been great. Good teams and good company culture. I can't do the big enterprise corporation sales as I don't get along with the corporate life, but working for small, profitable start ups with owners who come from a sales background has been good. When you produce, you're a valued member of the team who get's taken care of and is given freedom. Still, sales is sales and it's not something I'm passionate about.Squat and Deadlift

Man, looking for a good non exotic is tough these days: everything has DMHA or sucks ass or is overpriced in the CA stores.

I think I'm going to grab the new BB.com Chocolate Whey today. It seems to be getting some killer feedback. Also going to grab a much needed joint product.

I'm a "sales guy" but my industry is a little bit unique. We don't hard sell, we do quite a bit more consulting and the actual selling happens at a finalist presentation in the board room. When you balance the flexibility in schedule and the money... I don't envision myself doing anything else for quite some time.

That sounds great. Honestly, it takes a very niche product/service/industry for a "hard sell" to work at all these days. Consultative is the way to succeed in 90% of the sales businesses out there imo. I'm in the financial software industry, which is a massive industry for sales, and a hard sell approach would result in instant failure. It's all about building value by addressing unique business cases and solving problems.

I could sell the absolute hell out of something I was passionate about or thought was interesting. I could sell the hell out of cars, guitars, or a few other things. Sadly, commission-only pay structures lead to long hours, burnout, and incredibly toxic work environments and I'm just not about that life. I got along with other agents when I was selling insurance, but I didn't really give a **** about insurance in a way that I could explain to folks, especially in the demographic I was largely working with. Lots of stuff I would have done differently if I had to go back into that business.
I'm increasingly unimpressed with "exotic" stims. I mostly just jump between Pre-Kaged, Nutrabio Pre, and Prolific depending on the day. I've still got a few tubs of OG Kraken and SP250 just in case, but I won't be sore over losing them the way I was over OG Jack3d. I've got a tub of PreCre coming from a contest on another forum that I'm going to be logging, too.***THE AFRO POPE: "The Man Who Never Gets Mad Online"***
