Same
I finished the first Dresden, but aside from a few shining moments, it seemed pretty simple and dull. Plus, Dresden being such a white knight feminist was pretty off putting lmao
Usually im right with you on book choices, but i couldnt do this. I bought all the Dresden books based on your req, and the first one nearly killed me hahaha
EDIT: Any good Stephen King books you guys recommend btw? (Aside from his obvious famous ones). I just bought his relatively new one called 11.22.63 and it looks awesome.Last edited by nick1990; 12-02-2016 at 10:39 AM.

I bought Name of the Wind a few months ago after seeing this thread. Liked it so much I went on amazon and bought the 2nd and 3rd books. Or so I thought. Ended up getting it and the 3rd book was a fuking short story about that little hipster Auri. Was pissed. Then I went online and looked and this kunt has no details on when the last book will come out. My fault should've paid attention more instead of just immediately buying the books lol. The first two are awesome though. About halfway through Way of Kings right now and loving it. Waiting on the second book to arrive, was a little bummed the 3rd book isn't done yet though.

Might actually check this out.
Finished the Troy series a week ago and have been looking for something to read
tbh I've never read a Stephen King book. Not even Dark Tower (srs)
if I read this 11/22/63 book, it'll be my first Stephen King bookLast edited by FeralBeast; 12-03-2016 at 01:19 AM.

Can't remember who recommended it on this thread but thank you SO much, well happy.
Description
Product Description
Inquisitor Glokta, a crippled and increasingly bitter relic of the last war, former fencing champion turned torturer extraordinaire, is trapped in a twisted and broken body - not that he allows it to distract him from his daily routine of torturing smugglers.
Nobleman, dashing officer and would-be fencing champion Captain Jezal dan Luthar is living a life of ease by cheating his friends at cards. Vain, shallow, selfish and self-obsessed, the biggest blot on his horizon is having to get out of bed in the morning to train with obsessive and boring old men.
And Logen Ninefingers, an infamous warrior with a bloody past, is about to wake up in a hole in the snow with plans to settle a blood feud with Bethod, the new King of the Northmen, once and for all - ideally by running away from it. But as he's discovering, old habits die really, really hard indeed...
...especially when Bayaz gets involved. A bald old man with a terrible temper and a pathetic assistant, he could be the First of the Magi, he could be a spectacular fraud, but whatever he is, he's about to make the lives of Glotka, Jezal and Logen a whole lot more difficult1k+
