Considering that I'm doing a push pull lower routine working out every other day, thus each muscle group is being worked out every six days. Isn't 50g of protein for six days straight while resting enough to fully repair any given muscle group for the next workout? If I were working out the same muscle twice or even three time per week I could understand why I'd need more protein.

Your body only uses a little bit of the protein it gets to build muscle. It needs the protein for a variety of other functions. If you eat only 50g a day, you're basically giving your body no protein to build muscle with.
You can't help the hopeless.

Also, Push/push/legs every other day is not optimal. Working your muscles once every 6 days, you might as well be doing an inefficient routine like a bro split.

You can do what you want, just depends on your goals. And what you want to get from your efforts. And 50gms of protein is pretty far from "so much", its basically the protein in a petite steak one might have for breakfast in their steak and eggs plate.

I think two of the biggest problems and frustrations with explaining DCA/IIFYM to people is explaining that:
1) food, real food, consists of more than 1 macro nutrient.
2) you should be eating real food! i see a lot of posts like this where people think they need to limit their food choices to meet their goals. the whole point is to provide flexibility.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

If I only needed 50g of protein in a day, I'd just drink one of these and eat my other 2750 calories in fruit, rice, pasta, donuts and pop tarts.
