I lost it yesterday.
But its okay because I learned something.
Horny as f** + privacy = fap
Iv identified a trigger.
What I didnt do is take proactive action when the strong urge came.
Proactive action would have been to,
- turn the computer off and focus my attention elsewhere
- do some exercise instead
- jump on the motor bike and go for a ride
- read a book
- watch a movie
- visit someone
- meditate
- directed my energy towards a goal
- tidy an area I had neglected or organised something
My advise would be to know what your triggers are and to have a plan ready when you do get strong urges.
Im not sure if he was making fun or you or he really meant it or a bit of both, but regardless its not a bad thing. I just started therapy myself the other day. To be honest, I think you could benefit from it in order to reach your goals and deal with your anxiety etc.
Im happy to hear that. Sounds like you must have also made a mental "click" which changed your outlook and perspective on things if it kind of "just happened". however no fap has said to help people with social anxiety and makes them more outgoing.

Broke on day 11 and turned it back to day 0.
I thought I was going strong, however toying with online erotica over past 2-3 nights had put me on a slippery slope downwards!

Day 5 and can't sleep for chit.
On the bright side though I got head from a fwb last night and lasted forever, where as normally she can get me to bust on command. It was a great change being in control.

Yeah so we have a pretty similar view. That's exactly what I am changing my opinion to lately. It's hard for me to do because I am extremely extremely logical. And unless there's logic or science that makes sense to me I don't even bother believing in it. But the truth is these things are crutches and I don't need anything to do what I gotta do. Last year my health went to **** and I let that limit me by telling myself that I cannot do all the things I want in life cause my health is wrong. But that's so ****ing dumb man. There's more to me than just a healthy body and brain. And overall I can do anything you know. I want to improve and be the best I can be and I don't need any habit or any chemical benefit. I can do it cause I'm me. Just like anyone else can. If Churchill can be a huge alcoholic and edge all ****ing day along with other ****ed up habits and still change the world then I can too you know.

You can post that, it's the go-to forum for PIED and porn addiction in general. I'll be linking to it in the next OP anyway.
But you need to be careful frequenting that place. Although it's a wealth of information and people with common goals, the sheer amount of relapsing, over-analysis, spreading of misinformation, religious dogma and most of all individuals displaying ridiculous amounts of anxiety should make the place come with a disclaimer.
I'm not going to mention names but some users should really get out of the house and try to live a normal life instead of typing endless, incoherent babble about how damaging it is to not only watch porn but also have any kind of sexual desire towards women. It's not healthy at all.
It's something we talk about here quite a lot; going from being addicted to watching porn to being obsessed with talking about not watching it.

I somehow always manage to convince myself that fapping isn't the cause of some of my problems and that I don't have an addiction.
Well, I'm a freelance writer and recently I've gotten a lot of work writing about drug addictions, and it has made me realize that I really do have an addiction.
Here are the signs of a drug addiction, which can be applied to fapping:
1. You’ve built up a drug tolerance. You need to use more of the drug to experience the same effects you used to attain with smaller amounts.
Fap Version: You look at porn more often or seek out more hardcore material.
2. You take drugs to avoid or relieve withdrawal symptoms. If you go too long without drugs, you experience symptoms such as nausea, restlessness, insomnia, depression, sweating, shaking, and anxiety.
Fap Version: While there aren't quite the same withdrawal symptoms, there are withdrawal symptoms from quitting fapping. The most popular one, in my opinion, is cravings. Porn and fapping pops into your head somehow and it becomes all you can think about. Restlessness and inability to keep your mind off porn are some withdrawal symptoms that I can definitively say I've experienced. I'm sure there are more, but I can't put my finger on them.
3. You’ve lost control over your drug use. You often do drugs or use more than you planned, even though you told yourself you wouldn’t. You may want to stop using, but you feel powerless.
Fap Version: How often do we tell ourselves we will stop or limit ourselves and then don't?
4. Your life revolves around drug use. You spend a lot of time using and thinking about drugs, figuring out how to get them, and recovering from the drug’s effects.
Fap Version: This can happen to many people. Reminds me of the old MTV True Life episode, "I'm Addicted to Porn."
5. You’ve abandoned activities you used to enjoy, such as hobbies, sports, and socializing, because of your drug use.
Fap Version: Things you used to do are no longer fun or pleasurable. You've become a social recluse. For me, I think back to my childhood and then things I used to enjoy but don't anymore. I can't help but think that most of it is due to my fapping addiction.
6. You continue to use drugs, despite knowing it’s hurting you. It’s causing major problems in your life—blackouts, infections, mood swings, depression, paranoia—but you use anyway.
Fap Version: Self explanatory. We know fapping causes negative consequences, and yet we keep on doing it.

I only had (1), mildly - escalating to specific scenes to get hard/get off. That's the thing, I never had anything close to a problem/addiction; my problem was low libido and probable desensitization to normal looking women. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that even if someone has none of these issues, it could still be beneficial to avoid a super-stimuli like porn. Good post though.

With regards to number 1, I've never really had to up the level of wut I was looking at. I've never had to move onto nasty hardcore **** because lesser porn didn't do anything. Just playboy level material and the like is enough. On the occasions where I've tried to fap multiple times per day then I've had to use more explicit stuff but thats been somewhat of a rarity. Even during fap periods/relapses I've seen p**nhub as going too far and have still been careful what I viewed.
It must be said that watching a video of an undressed female posing isn't quite the same as watching some depraved, deep web illegal gang-bang where anything goes.
Having said that, it would not be fair to condone the video of the nude female as anything less than sexually explicit and adult. If it is being viewed for sexual gratification (which is almost always the case), then it goes against the purpose of no-porn/no fap and is to be avoided."Honor is something that all men are born with. Werd. Day 0 again for me. Was only on day 1 anyway so no huge loss in terms of days.
It was a bad relapse tho. Browsed countless nude pics and afew vids. Filled my vision with alot of explicit material. Most explicit porn session in several weeks.
Same old story...starts with just a peek and goes downhill from there.
Day one again tomorrow (20 mins time actually) so I'll start afresh. Still set for NF December and determined to do it. You know, when you have something to keep yourself occupied, fapping becomes a distant concern, nofap isn't even a challenge.
So I've come to realize that nofap isn't necessarily empowering, it's just a way to test our discipline, so to speak.
When I had a lot of free time, constantly depressed and trying to find a method to find some pleasure (of any kind), fapping was just an easy go-to option.
When you have "**** going on", fapping can be forgotten and you might realize that it's not a pressing matter, at all.
If there's any knowledge that I can share from participating in nofap and succeeding for so long, it's that fapping isn't really a bad thing, just another challenge for us to conquer, and once that's settled with, it's a good idea to find something else to tackle. It's just healthy to find more challenges. Also, fapping in itself isn't bad, it's most likely everything else in your life is a mess, and fapping is the easy target to try to shoot for first.evil laughter crew

Day 115. Crazy vivid sexual dreams the last two nights (not wet dreams though). My last longest streak was like 170-180 days, with very strong results... so I'm looking forward to getting back to that level.

As for the WHY ?
I think there is only one or two reasons to do no fap.
1) It was a problem in your life. I.e addiction. (includes taking up your time)
2) Your ashamed of fapping.
Other people claim
- Confidence (I think that goes hand in hand with 2, which is actually ascence of shame.)
- Increased test (possible, and definitely in the short term, but does it increase test in long term ? Im not so sure. the more sperm and sex hormones you use the more you produce)
- Social anxiety (I dont know, maybe)
- Getting girls (yeah only if you had that ability to start with)
- Deeper voice (possible due to ascence of shame and increased confidence)
- More energy (yeah, i'll accept it, if your fapping a lot and quit you can have more energy)
- Increased eye contact (yes, refer back to points 1 & 2.

Currently on day 5. Morning wood lasts for hours, was close to jizzing myself from just thoughts this morning. Get semi boners when just talking to oneitis, and like instantly hard if she touches me. Down sides is overwhelming loneliness and urge to fap. Can just tell if I were to blow, it would be buckets.
