I have wilson and keuchel.
I have an idea. What if I overpay for sale or greinke (blackmon+jayson werth+jones or something like that, see my lineup a few posts up if you want to make other suggestions) and open up 2 roster spots. Pick up hudson or hammel for now, and oscar taveras. I'd fill all my lineup spots, have cuddy/ortiz to rotate at 1b, and should improve my power as well as my pitching staff.***SCC***

missed this while I was on my phone. this wouldn't be a bad idea either.
With my current frame of mind, I think I'd like to trade 2 players for a SP and open up a slot to pick up Taveras. Best trade idea gets reps for life lol. I'm taking into account all the ones already posted and trying to figure something out.***SCC***

Samardzija and Keuchel are both available in my league. They've both been dropped after ****ty starts. Should I pick one up? I have Cueto/Kluber/Buehrle as my SPs.
I just picked up Machi(to put him as a RP) for his wins today. I could pick up Keuchel and drop Machi and put Keuchel as one of my RPs. Not sure which to do.AcetylCoA gets reps

I'm thinking playoffs and really this season i've been fortunate in matchups that i won the cat at the time, overall im near the bottom of every hitting cat except OBP.
Pitching i'm good with and confident ill be able to win QS, Strikes, ERA, and WHIP.
but now with two batters sitting on the bench im trying to package them, mainly Utley to upgrade my SS position (Peralta)

Yeah just upgrade that shortstop position and your fine. I think your underestimating your outfield, McCutchen will heat up some more and Zimmerman will gain elibility there soon so you can replace the weakest link. Besides Tulo the rest of the class is weak. I would look to trade for Bogaerts. Not a huge fan of Hanley, hes not what he once was and he will be pricey.

I'd drop machi for kazmir.
Yeah. It's a little different. A win against someone doesn't count as a win though. There are 10 categories, and if I win all 10 this week, then my record will improve by 10. Example, if I was 50-30 categories won-lost and I won all 10 this week, I would improve to 60-30. Your ranking depends on your overall stats (60-30 in this case).

Even after your explanation I don't understand too well, lol.
This i how our league works:
We have 8 people in our league, so whoever has the most runs will get an 8 in that category. Same with all other stats we're using. Have the least number of runs and you're in last place just for that category.AcetylCoA gets reps

^^^ Lunatic is in a roto league and the other guy is in a h2h categories. In a category you face off against someone and if you win the category for the week you get a point in your win column. Opposite for a loss. Usually 10 or 12 categories in most h2h leagues.
There is also h2h where you just get a win or a loss facing your opponent for the week. And there are point leagues as well.Twins/Vikings crew

Well I traded Soriano for Nathan early last week and all Nathan is doing is ruining my ERA and whip. I'm not overly concerned just a rough patch but he could lose the job.
If you do pick up Chamberlain. Tigers will get a fair amount of save opportunties for their closer whoever it is.Twins/Vikings crew

I'm getting plenty of saves with Rodney/Chapman/Rodriguez (5 this week, not sure what a 'good' number is), although Rodriguez will probably hit an inning limit later this season. What you are experiencing has been more or less the norm for nathan this year. The thing is, I don't think anyone has picked up Hudson from when I dropped him, and Oscar Taveras was available the last time I checked.

K-rod is not on an innings limit. In fact, I dont think they apply to older bullpen arms. Teams run them out there until they are gassed out. What are your other options for closer? Is Britton available?
Just remembering your team and lineup I dont think Taveras does a lot for you. He probably will hit close to .300 and 10 homeruns the rest of the year with decent RBI and runs totals. I would be more focused on Polanco if hes available. But my first option would be another closer as 4 pretty much guarentees you win that column every week.Twins/Vikings crew

I heard rumors of him reaching a limit early in the season, maybe I was wrong. Britton is available, so is polanco. Other closers, Balfour and LaTroy Hawkins. So far this year, I'm 4-3-2 in h2h in the saves category.
I think the 4-3-2 is just bad luck though, as I'm second in saves overall.***SCC***

Well I would replace Nathan with Britton until Nathan gets his head on straight. I have never lost in a h2h league where I deployed 4 or more closers so it is a winning strategy at least for me.
Then I would drop Blackmon for Polanco as he will have a much bigger impact when he gets called up sometime in the next week. If you cant drop Blackmon trade him to another team for some worthless player and then drop to pick up Polanco.Twins/Vikings crew
