I'm pretty confident that if I skipped volume day, I could hit 455 next week. The question is, do I want to take a week off from progressing on intensity day just to try it. I really don't though. Hopefully you'll nail 455 and finish our race so I don't have to worry about it haha.

LOL
You're worried about it ... Excellent
j/k I agree. No sense in disrupting your training for bragging rights over a somewhat arbitrary number. In fact, keep going with TM until you hit 455x3 on ID
What "togetherness"? dbone and Ben are fighting over me while jshaw and MGB want to beat me to a 455 squat
I also like how you're wearing glasses in this vid vs. your other ones## chillin at home crew

Morning
Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown:
105x8
120x8
135x8
Barbell Bench Press: (TM ID)
45x10
135x5
165x3
200x3
230x2
260x5 (vid)
... Elbows and shoulders are still sore and body is tired from squats, so 260 was heavy for lockouts. Speed off the chest was good
Pull-Up:
4x9
Night
Barbell Squat: (Smolov wk 5 day 3)
45x10
135x5
205x3
275x3
315x2
340x5x7 (vid of 3rd and 6th sets)
Notes
* Bench is still affected by Smolov as noted above. Next week should be better since the base cycle is done and Smolov enters a recovery phase.
* I was feeling a little tired going into the night squat session. I didn't get good sleep, and I had a long day on top of that. Still, the 340 work sets went off without a problem.
* Got one more Smolov base session to go on Friday. I'm ready to stop squatting 4x/week
