Anyone else unhappy with a recent purchase of Stimulant X?

I purchased a bottle of AX’s Stimulant X recently for the first time in a few months, and after going through about 20-30 caps of it, I am absolutely certain that this is nowhere near as strong a stimulant as the Stim X I was using a few months back. The caps in the new container are relatively useless as stimulants. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

I still have an empty Stimulant X container from one of my previous purchases(I ordered it in mid-July), and there are a number of differences between that container and the one I just purchased. I’m not saying these differences are absolute proof of anything concerning effectiveness, but I’m going to list them anyway so everyone knows which containers I am talking about.


New container of Stimulant X I recently purchased(very weak stimulant):

- The container is larger and wider than the previous version.

- The capsules are red and larger than the previous version.

- The number stamped on the bottle(I’m assuming this is the Batch #) is 42337, and the expiration date below it is OCT 09.

- The background on the label is white and the print on the label is black. There is also a red border surrounding the top and bottom of the label.

- The label says:

Distributed by Research Nutrition Dynamics
Tempe, AZ 85281

- The ingredient profile on the label look like this:

I guess I was given sample packets of the new batch, because my pills were red and did not make too much of a diffrence(300mgs caffine gets me goin tho)

I havent bought stimx but the sample packets wernt all that great

Yes BUT "StimX" has not launched and when it does you probably will never see it. It is being sold in a very different market. It also looks totally different.

The new StimulantX has the exact same ingredients as the original we have just added the 110mg of Cocoalean. Other than that everything else is the exact same in the same ratios. We have had more positive feedback than ever on StimulantX since we have switched over to the Cocoalean added product.

Thats very odd and there must be something up with the actual contents of this new bottle.

I have some of the sample packs from way back and those things WORK. they actually work too good and are way too strong for me. If you want no appetite and an intense stimulant, X is good but its just way too intense for my liking.

I ordered a large number of the sample packs back in October 2005 and thought they were great(I think they were like 5 packs for $5 at the time). I was also happy with the two bottles I purchased prior to this one. I agree that the feeling was very intense, and one cap was usually plenty for me. It was easily the strongest stim per capsule that I have ever used.

I would equate the feeling I get from 2 caps of this new formula to a 200 mg caffeine pill. The difference between this and the old formula is night and day for me.

I don't know whether this a QC issue or if adding this "Cocoalean" ingredient has somehow weakened the formula considerably, but whatever you've done is a mistake IMO.

I appreciate the gesture, but I didn't start the thread to get my money back. I was just wondering what had really changed in the formula, and if any other people have noticed the same difference I have. I don't really care about the $28, and any effort to get it back from the retailer is probably more trouble than it's worth. I just won't be purchasing it anymore.

I really do not know. We we added the Cocoalean and we were told it would not change the "feel" of the product. We then wanted to make sure so we tested it for two months, sampling it with local stores. We had the stores sample the new version to customers that have tried StimulantX. Out of the 1000' that were sampled not one person reported anything like this. We also have each production run tested at RTP for its contents so I know that is not an issue.

Is it possible he's built a tolerance to it? I think that's what John meant by desensitization. I noticed this with AMP, worked great the first two weeks but then it gradually declined in effectiveness. I got maybe 20 caps of Stim X but I never used it consistently enough to build a tolerance, or so I believe. 1 cap produced a nice effect and it worked everytime but I'm sure if you use it months on end there's going to be some adaptation to it.

StimulantX is still my favorite, and also the strongest stim I've ever taken.... however, I find if I take it more than 3 times per week the effect dies down around week 4.

heres what has worked very well as a cutting stack for me:

week 1:
1 stimX in the morning 15 mins before breakfast ---every other day
2X3 DS Melting point with 3 most fatty meals of day---every day
1X3 Scivation Sesamin with same 3 meals as melting point--- every day

weeks 2-4
2 stimX in the morning 15 mins before breakfast ---4 times per week
2X3 DS Melting point with 3 most fatty meals of day---every day
1X3 Scivation Sesamin with same 3 meals as melting point--- every day

Take 2 weeks off from stimX and repeat

This stack has proven very effective for me, and kept my tolerance from building

It has nothing to do with tolerance. There were more than two months in between my last dose of the older container and my first dose from this one. There certainly should have been noticeable effects when I started the bottle at the very least. I've also never taken it more than 3-4 times a week, even back when it was working.
