Hi,
I happened to pick up a pharmacetical-grade Glutamine brand named BioX (manufactured by http://www.nutrition-zone.com ...).
Is it any good? How does it compare to ProLab Glutamine?
(Regarding ProLab -- I just purchased some ProLab Creatine. This is my first Creatine, and I am studying up on its proper use!)Mark Rejhon

There is a NJ base company by the name of Pro Source. I think their Glutamine is truly a superb product. It is $30 for a 180 serving bottle, 5g per serving. The stuff is so fine it could be mistaken for *******. It is easily solubulized and has no taste. I seriously recommend this brand above all others!!!!!
It's taken me about 10 years to finally 'GET IT'

Glu-FM
Because I have been out of shape for at least 4 years, Syntrax Glu-FM was my first time trying L-Glutamine for recovery after cardio. I started out with 5g daily before Cardio (basketball). I only notice a slight change in my body temp. (meaning I felt a little warmer than normal) Two weeks in I upped my dosage to 10g during my basketball workout. I took 10g with 8 ounces of Welchs grape juice and drank it during my workout. Maaan! I was burning up. Veins popped out and I was warm with a slight headache. Not a migraine but a "I think I'm about to get a headache" type feeling.
I believe Glu-FM enabled me to extend my pickup game to 3 1/2 hours. I haven't played like that in 10 years or more. Next day, I had NO soreness. But my damn feet hurt though? :-)
One other major side affect though. I couldn't sleep that night for shiiit! I think I finally fell asleep at 2:00am. I took the GLU-FM around 5:00pm.
Glu-FM has very, very little taste.

AST GL3 makes my urine burn without fail. I tried it twice and both times the same thing happened. I would take it 20-30 minutes before bed and my pre-bed leak always burned. I never had that problem with any other product. That micronized stuff seems to run straight through me. Now I use prolab. The price is good, taste is fine, and seems to be effective for recovery purposes.

"Creapure" is actually the name of the process that was developed to create effective creatine monohydrate. When creatine first became popular everyone had their own way of producing the stuff. The Chinese companies used methods that produced a product that was less effective than the german companies. It's the german method that's become the proven method today. Some companys still market their products with it's origin but "creapure" is the established name for this method.
