Now that some time has passed and the emotions have cooled down, let us just do a simle poll. Simply say whether you think Ronnie Coleman should have won the last Mr. O.
I will be the first one to vote and comment. In my opinion he was better on stage, bigger and not too badly conditioned. If a man is that hyooge and lean, he has to win the Mr. O. A little bit of soft conditining is just not enough to push a guy like him into second place....
Let us know what you think and don't forget to vote.

Emotions haven't changed any with time like you say. Whoever months ago on 100 threads said Ronnie was off is not going to change their mind months later, or vice versa, who ever said Jay was too blocky and shouldn't have won isn't going to flip flop now and say otherwise. If someone actually does, they are too easily persuaded by Muscletech ads, Bsn ads, Ronnie being smaller now, drug busts out of FL, many O guest appearances around the country, or other variables.
You say Ronnie wasn't too badly conditioned. You are right, neither were 15 others guy competing. They all weren't "too badly conditioned" as you put it. Bottomline is Ronnie wasn't as lean as past victories, had his usual GH gut out of control, and to add the final sword to the coffin was a visible lat tear that took away from his infamous back poses always hurting Jay.
So if you are doing the poll to see if people have changed their minds, I doubt it. If you are asking people if Ronnie deserved the win, their were 100 other threads on the subject following the Olympia. Go back and find the answers and the few versus many Ronnie fans who agreed with your judgement.Last edited by LUKEDEICHER; 04-05-2007 at 07:39 PM.

i'm a ronnie fan, he definitely lost.
i actually thought this thread was a joke thread. cutler got what he deserved that night, in fact, so did ronnie. not to take anything away from vic though; if ronnie doesnt do something amazing before the O', i predict a one-two placing that only involves vic and jay. that being said, for ronnie, it aint nothin' to it but to do it.

No, I didn't start the thread to see if people changed their minds; has nothing to do with it. And, I know that there are 1000 threads on this already. I only wanted to make a poll to see how the members here at bb.com are divided. I figured if you start a thread, some people may not have the time to post a long answer, but with a very simple poll, people can take 5 seconds and put in their votes...

Do you people really think Mr Olympia and the leader of our sport should look like this?
If Coleman didnt have so many wins under his belt he would have been lucky to make the top 5.
Im sorry Colemans time is up and the ifbb knows it, if they really wanted hiim to win he would have regardless just like he did in 01 against Cutler and 02 againt Levrone. You people cant honestly say the difference was that much more pronounced this year then it was those years yet this year all of a sudden its enough for him to lose.Last edited by Guardian; 04-05-2007 at 09:45 PM.

That whole mentality is bull****. Both knew the day of Mr Olympia, it's about coming in at your best at THAT time, and both know that, what happened? Jay came in at his best, and Ronnie didn't, so Jay WON. Simple as that, no "Ronnie lost, jay didn't win" bull****, because that's all it is. The competition date is set, it's up to the competitors to come in at their best on that date, and that date only.

Correct me if I am wrong, but could have swore I heard Chic say and I quote "The winner of the 2007 Mr. Olympia is.............Jay Cutler!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crowd goes freaking bonkers for nearly 5 minutes.....even the Coleman fans applaud and Ronnie runs off the stage and throws a fit backstage.
He didn't say, "The looser of the 2007 Mr. Olympia is..................Ronnie Coleman!!!!
Jay won, simple as that and he won by a wide margin. It's over, let's move on please. The "Jay didn't win it, Ronnie lost it" argument is lame bro. Much respect to the best there ever was, but he should have received 3rd that night.

as one of the most die hard ronnie fans on this site (probably) I think he should have lost.
Ronnie owned it in 2005, even shawn ray DURING ronnie's posing said "sorry jay better luck next year". Do you know why that happened? Because he slimmed down and brought about the best par of abs he had in years.
Of course he had injuries this year (he also had pretty major issues in 05 with injuries) but his conditioning killed him. He was obsessed with being 300 onstage.
Jay won, fair and square. I could have seen ronnie winning don't get me wrong but jay won.
Now if you want to talk about the 3rd european show that is different. Ronnie won that show, IMO.

No, I think mr. O should look like ronnie in 98, 01, 03 or 05. Don't be so damn biased though. That is a terrible shot of ronnie on his worst day (prejudging).
For laughs why don't you show jays abs and thighs pose.
See the thing is I don't have any problem with jay and really never bash him. But when you throw that biased bullsh*t around it is just crazy.
Guardian I would understand your arguement if like melvon anthony, dexter jackson, or toney freeman won. You know half way aesthetic and symmetrical bbers with x-frames and v-tapers.
Sometimes I wonder what pics of jay you look at. When you bash one it is almost like your bashing the other since they have very similar major issues regarding ways and v-taper.

Jay was better than ronnie last year, but I think they both looked like poop compared to previous years. To be real blunt, I don't think ronnie or jay could hold a candle to MA last year.
I would have LOVED to see the results....
1. melvon anthony
2. toney freeman
3. dexter jackson
4. jay cutler
5. ronnie coleman
