I'm split on the issue. It's a CCP spyware and subversion app no question. It's also hilarious seeing the China simps and all the dumb Tiktokers freak out. But the other social media sites are collecting just as much data on us and also contain just as much questionable content. This seems like a diversion tactic to get people pissed off at Tiktok/China and ignore all the other BS currently going down.

FYI They're already working on a US based app called TikTok Notes which is more or less the same thing but an image hosting site (more along the lines of instagram).
