Arguments about how effective cardio is for fat loss aside; if you are going to do cardio: swim.
Swimming interferes with recovery less than any other cardio. Running is horrific, cycling is better than running, but swimming is the clear winner.

They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......
