Looking for intellectual conservative sources

Can anyone recommend a smart conservative for me to challenge my views with and learn?

Requirements:

1) Must be alive (I'm already familiar with Friedman, Hayek, Von Mises, etc)

2) Must have a PhD in a technical discipline. I don't respect the opinion of lay people.

Any sources?

Also looking for cool conservatives to follow. Can anyone list a particularly talented artist who is conservative?

There's a toxic culture of "I endured it, so should you!" as well, mostly enforced by boomer professors and admins whose last real encounter with the jobs economy was 20 years ago. So let me ask again, why do you have that PhD requirement if you want your views challenged?

Or why is it that you think that someone would need to be from the other side of a binary political affiliation to challenge your views?

OP, you could try Patrick Deneen.

He wrote an interesting book called Why Liberalism Failed which argues liberalism is not a neutral ideology, because when you erode religion and tradition etc. you must be coercive which is pretty un-liberal of itself.

Hence, you get despair and this fuels anti-liberalism movements.

He is a thinker who seems to be spearheading an anti-capitalist conservative movement.
