The problem with this is you get people who technically pay taxes, yet are net tax burden once accounting for benefits received. People would be able to vote themselves the largesse of the treasury. Basically, we would be where we are now.

If the logic is only people who are a net positive to the tax base should be able to vote then maybe I could get behind that. Unfortunately, that creates a whole new can of worms figuring out where that threshold is achieved.
